2025 Radda Rise International String Competition Application

What’s included

All applications include entry into the 2025 Radda Rise International String Competition, a Radda Video Review, optional resubmission before the final deadline, a private 1‑hour mentorship session with the director, and a custom biography in English or revisions of your current English biography.

Repertoire requirements

Recordings of two solo works that contrast in some way and were recorded within the past year. May be accompanied or unaccompanied.

Media submissions

Recordings, scores, and photos may be uploaded with your application or uploaded later after submitting your written application.

Prizes

Cash prizes and custom websites worth over $12,000 plus unlimited mentorship sessions with the director and ongoing juror mentorship offers.

If you choose revisions of your current biography or neither option, please provide your biography in the next response. **Jurors will NOT see any biographies until after the winners announcement. Winners' biographies will be shared on the Radda website and social media after the competition.**

1. What inspires you to make music?

2. If you could go back in time to meet any composer or meet any living composer, who would it be and why?

3. Describe your most memorable musical event and discuss the impact it had on you. This event can be anything from a concert you attended, one of your own performances, a lesson or masterclass you had with a certain teacher, and so forth.

4. What are your goals for the future, and how does your music play a role in helping you achieve them?

5. If you could collaborate with any artist or musician, who would it be and what kind of project would you like to undertake together?

6. What piece of music challenges you the most and why? How do you approach overcoming these challenges?

7. Share an experience where music helped you through a difficult time in your life.

Multimedia Release Agreement
Please review and sign the following agreement. If you are a prize winner, this allows us to publicly announce you in the winners' announcement and present your performances in the winners' recital.

For good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, I hereby grant Radda, LLC permission to use my likeness in multimedia in any and all of its publications, including but not limited to all of Radda, LLC’s printed and digital publications. I understand and agree that any multimedia submitted for the Radda Rise International String Competition using my likeness will become property of Radda, LLC and will not be returned. I acknowledge that since my participation with Radda Rise International String Competition is voluntary, I will receive no financial compensation. I hereby irrevocably authorize Radda, LLC to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish or distribute all multimedia using my likeness for purposes of publicizing Radda, LLC's programs or for any other related, lawful purpose. I waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written or electronic copy, wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the multimedia. I hereby hold harmless and release and forever discharge Radda, LLC from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization. This contract can be terminated by either party, at anytime, after submission of written notice.
