• Hello! We are excited that you're interested in providing a home for one of our puppies. We hope that thinking through and answering the questions below will help in determing whether or home is the best fit for a White Labrador puppy at this time. - Carolyn Miller (507) 438-3312 and Elizabeth Rayford (507) 481-6333

    • Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a puppy from River Ridge Puppies, but it does not guarantee I'll get a puppy from this or any future litter. While it's unlikely, the breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time.

APPROVAL AND DEPOSIT: I will review applications within 2 business days of receipt. Applications are processed in the order they are received. If your home is a good fit, I'll notify you. We breed infrequently, so we will only accept deposits when puppies are expected or actually available. During pregnancy and young puppyhood, approved homes will be invited to sign a contract and to make a $300 commitment deposit on a puppy. Please make this deposit within 48 hours of approval to secure your place to choose your puppy. If you make a deposit, you are committing to take a puppy from the litter, regardless of whether your gender/color preference is available.

CONTRACT: We will not place a puppy without a signed contract. We believe it's the professional thing to do to memorialize our obligations to each other on paper so there are no questions later, and for that reason it's a bit lengthy. If you have questions about specific terms, you need to contact us prior to picking up your puppy.

YOUR PICK OF PUPPY: Puppies will be assigned in deposit order. You may set a date to meet and pick your puppy, or make other arrangements for choosing. We ask that you make a decision within 24 hours of notification since there may be other families waiting for a chance to choose. Should you elect to not take a puppy from the litter, the deposit is forfeited and the deposit applied to the costs of finding the puppy another home. It is not forwarded to an upcoming litter as we do not have regular litters.

PUPPY GUARANTEE: When you pick up your puppy, we'll both sign a document on which we guarantee that your puppy will be healthy (excluding common parasites) for three business days. For that and other reasons, you will need to schedule your puppy's first vet exam within 72 hours of bringing him/her home.

GOING HOME: We cannot hold puppies for extended times; it is critical for their social development that the litter departs within a reasonable timeframe. If you have a big vacation planned or have events that would conflict with a young puppy, please know puppies cannot be boarded in a kennel until they have received their full immunizations and their rabies vaccination which cannot be done until 3 months of age.

SPAY/NEUTER: We do not require spay/neuter. Many vetrinarians recommend these proceedures, but the decision is entirely yours and not included in our contract.

REGISTRATION PAPERS: Our excellent family companions do not come with registration papers to any registry. Maggie is registered with the American Kennel Club under conditional registration and Chester is registered with the American Kennel Club under limited registration, which means that their puppies cannot be registerred with that club.
