This research aims to investigate the characteristics of speech in British English.
We need participants who:
1. Are undergraduate students or those in their gap year before university, aged 18 or beyond.
2. Grew up in Newcastle and have not extensively stayed elsewhere over the last 12 months.
3. Have normal or corrected-to-normal vision.
4. Have no reading disability.
You will be invited to conduct the study online. The task is to read a list of sentences and your voice will be recorded. You will then fill in a brief questionnaire. At the end of the session, you will be reimbursed £10 for your participation. The whole session takes around 20 minutes.
