Criteria — To be eligible, a family business must be:
Canadian While the business may operate internationally, it must be Canadian with headquarters located in Canada.	Multi-generational Either it has been owned and/or operated by different generations of a family or the intention exists for ownership to be passed on to a younger generation.	Employing family members More than one family member has active employment in the business.
