  • LSRS COMMITTEE FUNCTIONS

  • Development Committee:
    Works to expand the knowledge of the mission and vision of the LSRS to key industry partners in an effort to gain funding for research and education while maintaining the the LSRS' autonomy, purity of science, and unbiased discussion around research.

  • Education Committee:
    The Education Committee is responsible for planning and implementing the Annual Instructional Course as well as planning and implementing other educational programs through the Lumbar Spine Research Society.

  • Ethics Committee:
    The Ethics Comittee ensures that standards of scientific integrity are maintained during academic and other deliberations of the Lumbar Spine Research Society and its constituent committees.

  • Membership Committee:
    The Membership Committee is responsible for encouraging membership in the Lumbar Spine Research Society of individuals who have a demonstrated interest in the lumbar spine. The committee reviews all application packets and determines which individuals are qualified to pass on to the whole membership for a final vote.

  • Program Committee

    The Program Committee is responsible for planning and implementing the Annual Meeting each year. Responsibilities include reviewing abstracts, selecting meeting topics, and other aspects of each year's meeting.

  • Research Committee:
    The Research Committee is responsible for reviewing letters of intent and, subsequently, applications submitted for the annual research grant. The committee will review proposals, as free from bias as possible, to ensure that the grant is given as a seed fund for novel projects leading to further research and funding in the area of lumbar spinal disorders.

  • Social Media Committee:
    The Social Media Committee is responsible for engaging with and expanding the online presence of the Lumbar Spine Research Society through organizing creative, engaging, instructive content for social media and website.
