  • So congratulations, you've chosen The Dreys as your event venue.  It's a beautiful and unique place.  Somewhere we are proud to collaborate with The Dreys team and The Wedding Dolls.

    You have probably already seen some menus and been in touch with The Dolls to help and advise how to bring your dream day to life.

    Now its our turn to get in touch with you and start the exciting catering planning for your big day. 

    We have put this form together and ask that you fill it in and return it to us at your earliest convenience.  Once returned we will get you booked into our system and then your dedicated coordinator will follow up by email to book a discovery call   

    During the discovery call we will exchange notes about your menu ideas, discuss food tasting dates and start putting a quote together which can be altered as many times as you like up to 8 weeks before your big day. 

    Further down the form are some key dates and a timeline which we follow to keep planning on track and stress free with unlimited support throughout the process.

  • 4. Allergies, Intolerance's and Special Dietary Requirements

    We take our responsibilities towards Food Safety & Allergies very seriously. By request we can provide our clients with our full allergen matrix for all the menus we offer, as required by law. In addition to this we are happy to adapt dishes to suit guest's requirements, where we can. Eg if you have a few guests with Gluten allergies and want Gluten Free bread provided, or an alternative Gluten Free dessert we can adapt the menu for you. Talk to us.
  • PLEASE NOTE

    We are keen that all special dietary requirements are looked after well.  We also proudly offer Inclusive Food menus, meaning we potentially use all of the 14 Allergens in our kitchens.  We also have many items of shared equipment.  Therefore it is not an allergen free area and there is always the potential for cross contanimation, even with a thorough cleaning process between preparations.

    We ask that any guests with special dietary requirements are made aware of this before attending your wedding.  By attending the event they accept that despite our control measures we cannot guarantee an allergen free meal.  They are accepting responsibility and indemnifying us against any liability.

    We will require full dietary information for these guests plus a labelled table and seating plan to make sure they are served the correct food.  We may need to advise you to adapt your wedding breakfast menu, and if required serve the guests with the special dietary requirements a completely different meal.

    If we are only informed of a guest with a severe or potentially life threatening food allergy on the day of the wedding we reserve the right to refuse to serve them food.  This would be an absolute last resort and something we would only do in exceptional circumstances.

  • 5. Planning

    A guideline of what contact you can expect from us, and at what stage of planning it will happen is outlined below. Once in touch with your coordinator you will have their direct email. As our coordinators also work on events a response time is within 48 working hours, but usually much quicker. You can also email hello@invictafooddesign.co.uk
    1. So we've received your details from The Dreys team or The Wedding Dolls.  The catering planning journey starts now.  Once you send this form back to us, we can't wait to get cracking.
    2. Our menus and T&Cs will be sent to you to make sure you have all the information you need.
    3. Once this form is returned to us we will reply via email within five working days (usually much sooner) to book a discovery call.
    4. Within 10 working days of the discovery call, your dedicated coordinator will be back in touch via email. You should receive an initial quotation and confirmation of your food tasting booking.
    5. We will provide you with unlimited email support, and also scheduled phone calls.  Information will be noted on our booking system and will help us to have all your catering requirements covered.
    6. A final checklist will be forwarded for completion 12 weeks prior to the event, requesting final numbers, dietary requirements and confirmation of the services we are providing.  We ask you to complete and return this within 10 weeks of the event.
    7. At 8 weeks prior to your wedding your guest list, seating plan and menu should be locked in and your final balance paid.  That means no stress and you can enjoy the build up to your amazing day.
    8. We do realise that sometimes, not everything goes to plan.  So if a guest drops out, or extra guests want to come, someone suddenly informs you they have special dietary requirements etc, talk to us.  We will always do what we can to accomodate. 
  • 6. Food Tastings

    We offer food tastings for all our wedding couples at The Dreys. This is complementary for two people and held at Chatham Masonic Hall which is our HQ. Please choose a date from those listed below so we can book you in.
  • How it works

     

    Choose a date below and get booked into a food tasting session, you can let us know food choices later.  PLEASE NOTE - Dates available are weekday evenings.  Weekends are not available as these are usuallynevent days

    Review the menus, thinking about what type of food or menu you would like for your wedding day

    Email us if you have any questions about the menus or packages, we are here to help

    If you are thinking a 3 Course Feast or Plant Based Feast thats all we need to know

    For BBQ Feasts let us know the options you have chosen from the menu

    If you want a plated 3 course meal choose 1 starter, 1 main and 1 pudding per person from the brochure.  If you want different sides, or your meal served feasting style please let us know.

    If you require a bespoke menu let us know as it is best to talk this through before booking the tasting date

    Once you've made your choices just let us know via email

    We recommend just the couple attend.  If would like to bring guests this would be limited to two additional guests and charged per person.  This can be paid at the tasting or added to your catering invoice

    Any further food tastings required would be charged at the prevailing rate

    Canapés served will be a selection of our menu favourites. We prefer not to offer bespoke canapé tastings as producing specific canapés for two people generates lots of food waste

    The food tasting is to give an impression of your wedding breakfast. Therefore evening food choices are not included

    Our staff will be on hand to serve the food and answer any questions they can. A feedback form will be on the table for you to leave any comments you may have

    We will be in touch after the tasting and reviewing the feedback to action any changes that are required  

    Full details will be sent to you a week prior to your food tasting, but will probably follow the schedule below

    • 6.30pm Arrival with a complementary arrival drink and canapes
    • 7.00pm Call for seats in the marquee
    • 7.15pm Food service begins

    Our bar will be open to purchase any additional drinks.  Drinks packages at The Dreys are not provided by Invicta Food Design.  You will need to discuss you drink options with the venue directly.

    Please note that there will be other couples attending food tasting events.

  • 7. Suppliers Meals

  • Don't forget some of your suppliers will need to be fed.  When you hire a photographer, videographer, entertainer, nanny etc they will often be working a long day and require to be fed as part of their contract with you.

    We can offer a sandwich or main course from your wedding breakfast menu, both with a soft drink.  This would be added to your event invoice.

    2026.  Sandwich and soft drink £13.50.  Main Course and soft drink £25.00

    2027.  Sandwich and soft drink £14.00.  Main Course and soft drink £26.50

    2028.  Sandwich and soft drink £15.00.  Main Course and soft drink £30.00

    These are usually served to the supplier in the small marquee or decking after the guests have been served their wedding breakfast or at a pre agreed time

    If your supplier is scheduled to be working during the meal, then a sandwich is recommended as we can serve this anytime.

    We would need to be informed of any allergies or special dietary requirements prior to the day.

  • 8. Payments

    • A non-refundable deposit of £500 is required immediately to confirm your booking.
    • We can agree to a monthly payment schedule made by direct debit or bacs transfer.

    Alternatively, the following pay schedule is suggested

    • A second payment, based on a minimum of 25% of anticipated quotation costs, is required 12 weeks after your confirmation deposit.
    • Depending on the timescale between booking and your wedding date, a third payment will be due of a further 25% of costs six months before the wedding date.
    • At 10 weeks prior to your wedding a final invoice will be raised based on your final guest numbers and menu choices.
    • Final full payment  (cleared funds) will be required 8 weeks in advance of your wedding.
