SS23 Cashier Application

Thank you for your interest in cashiering during the Fall Sales Event. It's FUN and very busy! Cashiers Shifts are March 29-April 1! Our computer-based registers come with handheld scanners that digitally scan the tagging barcodes into the system and credit card swipers.

New cashiers receive on-the-job training with experienced Cashier Team Leads and cheat sheets at the registers, so you will be prepared. Prior cashier experience is preferred!

Cashiers will be responsible for:
*Running sales transactions for shoppers utilizing the JBF POS system
*Assisting shoppers with merchandise, questions, etc.
*Greeting customers
*Must be very comfortable with computers
*EXCELLENT customer service
*Friendly and work well as part of a team
*Ability to work in a fast paced environment & stand for long periods of time

PLEASE READ:

You must be able to work a minimum of 10 hrs during sale week.

Compensation (Hourly Pay and Early Shopping):
*New Cashiers - $10/hr
*Returning Cashiers - $11/hr

Presale Shopping Perks:
*Rockstar Presale - Wed, 3/29 at 9:30am plus (1) Guest Pass
*50% off Presale - Fri, 3/31 at 4:30pm plus (2) Guests
*75% off Donates - Sat, 4/1 from 1:30-3:30pm

NOTE: If consigning and want to make 10% more on your sales, just grab a non-cashier shift on a different day. We always need extra hands during drop-off (Mar 27-28) and Sort (Apr 1).

Team Leaders - please refer to your Team Leader Agreement for your compensation agreement.

We will have light snacks/beverages during breaks. If you will be working more than a 5 hour shift, we try to have meals when available for your convenience, BUT please bring a backup meal.

Please let us know when you are available during sale week. You can work as many hours as you choose, but shifts should be at least be 5 hrs. each time (10 minimum hours).

If your availability is different time than what is listed, use the space below each day. After all the information has been reviewed, if hired, we will send you a confirmed schedule. Preference will be given to returning consignors first, followed by experience and those with the most availability.

Team Member & Covid Waivers
Team Member Waiver*

-If I choose to participate as a sale team member, I understand that I am not an employee of Just Between Friends. As an independent contractor, I understand that JBF will not provide me with insurance, worker’s compensation or any other benefits of an employment relationship. I, the undersigned, agree to forever discharge and agree to hold harmless Just Between Friends Nashville Music City, Yolanda Prince and JBF Franchise System Inc, its officers, directors and agents against all damages, losses, claims, costs and expenses (including attorney’s fees and court costs), and liabilities of any nature which may be incurred by me or which may arise from my activities as an event team member / participant with JBF.-I understand that the ideas, methods and techniques seen and used at the sale are the property of Just Between Friends and may not be duplicated without the permission of Just Between Friends Franchise System. I acknowledge that I am helping solely for my own benefit as an event participant and that I am not helping to gain trade information for other motives.
Covid Waiver*

-I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and acknowledge there is an unknown risk of exposure to COVID-19 through exposure to contaminated objects, as well as through personal contact. I voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed or infected by COVID-19 by participating in a Just Between Friends Consignment Sales Event and that such exposure may result in illness, injury, disability, or death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including but not limited to Just Between Friends, and Team Members, consignors, and customers of Just Between Friends. I voluntarily assume all the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury, illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense of any kind. I acknowledge that I have a responsibility not to attend or participate as a Team Member at any Just Between Friends Consignment Sales Event if I am sick or running a fever or if I or a member of my household have been positively diagnosed with COVID-19. I agree to comply with all COVID-19 safety measures established by Just Between Friends, including but not limited to social distancing, and certify that I am abiding by state/local laws regarding COVID-19 restrictions. I hereby release and hold harmless Just Between Friends, its employees, officers, and vendors from and against all claims of damages and liability resulting from exposure to COVID-19.
