Grant Eligibility Requirements:
- Troop/Service Unit is in one of the counties with Grant money available. Troops and groups in under-resourced communities receive priority.
- Troops must have at least 3 girls and 2 leaders as well as a current bank account.
- Service Units must have a Treasurer, at least one other SU Team volunteer, and a current bank account.
- Qualifying activities must be related to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, connected to one of the 4 program pillars (Entrepreneurship, Life Skills, Outdoors, STEM), and/or be part of earning one of Girl Scout’s Highest Awards (Girl Scout Gold Award, Silver Award, and Bronze Award).
- Funds must be used for the good of the group and not benefit an individual.
Selected troops will be awarded up to $300 and Service Units will receive up to $1500. A Committee of volunteers and staff will review the applications and award the funds. Applications will be accepted until all Grant monies are claimed or until March 1. All awards must be spent by June 30.
Any groups receiving funding will need to complete a Summary Report no later than July 31 to include:
- Minimum 250-word summary of how they used the funds.
- Pictures of the girls/volunteers during the event or activity.
