2026 At-Large Contestant Application

The Miss Utah 2026 Scholarship Competition will be held June 16-20, 2026 at the Capitol Theatre in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. Please email info@missutah.org with any questions.
The Miss Utah Scholarship Organization is accepting a limited number of at-large contestants for the title of Miss Utah 2026. "At-large" means that the contestant can apply for a local titleholder opportunity instead of winning a local competition.

All contestants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Be a female
- Be at least 18 years old by September 1, 2026 and no older than 28 years old by September 30, 2026
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be a high school graduate as of July 31, 2026
- Be a Utah resident, full-time student in the state of Utah, or a full-time employee in the state of Utah
- Willing and able to agree to the terms in the Miss America state contestant contract
- Must be able to attend the state competition in full (June 16-20, 2026 in Salt Lake City)
Additional requirements:
- Each at-large contestant must pay a $1,750 at-large fee to cover the following:
  - Official local titleholder crown and sash (custom title sashes may be purchased for an additional $50)
  - Shared hotel room and meals during Miss Utah week
  - Miss Utah t-shirt and competition magazine
  - Other production/competition expenses
- A $500 non-refundable deposit is due with registration to confirm an at-large title. The remaining $1,250 is due by March 21, 2026.
- Each state contestant is required to pay a one-time $49.99 registration fee to the Miss America national office.
- Each state contestant is expected to register at least one (1) Honeybee to escort her in the Evening Gown Competition, but she may register up to three Honeybees.
- Each state contestant is expected to sell at least one full-page ad in the Miss Utah competition magazine. Contestants will be reimbursed for 25% of their ad sales after the full-page requirement after the state competition.
- Each state contestant must raise $300 through *spotfund for the American Heart Association and Miss America/Miss Utah scholarships.
- Each at-large titleholder is expected to commit to the at-large titleholder term ending at 11:59pm on Saturday, June 20, 2026 (after the final state competition and crowning of Miss Utah 2026).
Registration for at-large contestants will close at 11:59pm on January 31, 2026 or when at-large contestants have been filled - whichever comes first.
