    One of our main efforts is to reflect and attract diversity in collaboration with Burning Man’s R.I.D.E. (Radical Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity) team to instill proper training, education, and implementation within Zendo Project to better provide harm reduction services to all persons—regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation. The following questions are solely for overall metrics for Zendo Project services at Burning Man.

  • Zendo Project Role Descriptions

    Please review the following Zendo Project roles and make your preferred selections below. Note that all positions are important and applicants who choose more than one role will be prioritized for acceptance. 

    Sitter - holding space for guests who are seeking support

    Greeter - welcoming guests into the space & engaging in conversation with people who are interested in the Zendo Project

    Logkeeper - keeping tracking of lots of moving people and parts, using an ipad to update data, and a LOVE of organization

    Shift Lead - providing support to volunteers and the Supervisor on your shift to maintain a good flow (previous experience & Zendo coordinator approval required)

    Medical Triage - assessing Zendo guests to make sure they are medically safe to be in the space (medical certification required, EMT or higher)

    Logistics - assisting with things that help the space run smoothly including infrastructure, fueling our vehicles and hearts, and communicating with other departments

    Strike Support - contributing helping hands to our teardown and pack up efforts
