SIGNATURE RELEASE FORM

Market animal entries must be submitted online.  This form must be electronically signed by the exhibitor and the exhibitor’s parents or guardian.  

We, the junior exhibitor and parent/guardian, certify that we have read, acknowledge, accept and will abide by all the rules of the Northern  Arizona Junior Livestock Association (NAJLA) and the Coconino County Fair.  We acknowledge that the exhibitor has not sold a market  animal in any other Arizona County within the twelve months prior to the fair.

We further certify that we have not administered to this MARKET STEER, MARKET LAMB, MARKET SWINE, MARKET GOAT entry, nor has it received, nor  will we administer, any substance not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and/or the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for  slaughter animals and/or by NAJLA.  This includes, but is not limited to, diuretics, steroids, tranquilizers, and all over the counter pain relief medicines.  We  also certify that, with respect to any drug chemical or feed additive approved by the FDA and/or USDA, the withdrawal period applicable thereto as  recognized by the FDA has expired or will expire, prior to weigh‐in and/or entry at the Coconino County Fair.  We acknowledge and accept the fact that all animals entered in the Coconino County Fair are subject to blood, urine or tissue tests and that NAJLA  reserves the right to disqualify any animal, either live or slaughtered, found in violation of the use of drugs, chemicals or feed additives as described above  and in the Coconino County Fair Rule book.  Disqualification will result in the forfeiture of all sale monies and other awards distributed by NAJLA.  We will  allow any designated veterinarian to draw any and all samples deemed appropriate from our animal(s  We agree to pay all costs associated with testing,  including but not limited to, veterinarian, laboratory, slaughter and postage or airfreight if any animal is in violation of the provision. 

IF I IGNORE THIS AGREEMENT AND BRING A CLAIM, I WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL ATTORNEY FEES AND COSTS INCURRED BY NAJLA.  I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS AGREEMENT, I UNDERSTAND THAT BY MAKING AND SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT, I SURRENDER VALUABLE RIGHTS,  INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MY RIGHT TO SUE. 

• In consideration of the permission to use the Coconino County Fair’s facility and services of the Northern Arizona Junior Livestock Association (NAJLA) for  the Fair/Auction, I, the undersigned, hereby expressly agree: 
• THAT exhibiting animals is a physical, strenuous and potentially dangerous activity, as animals are unpredictable, and I am fully aware of the risks and  hazards in or arising from my presence around animals and my presence upon the fair premises. I HEREBY ASSUME ANY AND ALL RISKS INVOLVED IN  OR ARISING FROM MY USE OF AND PRESENCE UPON THE FACILITY, including without limitation, the risks of bodily injury including death, resulting  from exhibiting animals, physical contact between myself and animals, or another person or a stationary object, or the negligent or deliberate act of  another person or animal.  That large livestock shall remain in the care, custody, and control of the exhibitor.  The Exhibitor shall indemnify and hold  harmless NAJLA and all of its successor, assigns, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents, and the Coconino County Board of Supervisors  and the Coconino County Fairground’s employees for any injury, property damage and any real, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from  the large livestock or caused by the large livestock.  The Exhibitor agrees to defend any claim brought against NAJLA as a result of the large livestock; 
• THIS RELEASE shall be binding upon my heirs, administrators, executors, assigns, and legal representative; 
• TO WAIVE the protection afforded by any statute or law in any jurisdiction whose purpose, substance and/or effect is to provide that a general release  shall not extend to claims, material or otherwise, which the person giving the release does not know or suspect to exist at the time of executing the  release; 

I, THE UNDERSIGNED, ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE ABOVE INFORMATION IS ACCURATE AND AGREE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NORTHERN ARIZONA JUNIOR LIVESTOCK ASSOCIATION AUCTION ACCORDING TO THE RULES AND REGULATION, SPECIFIED IN THE CURRENT EXHIBITOR COCONINO COUNTY  FAIRBOOK REQUIREMENTS, IN ADDITION TO ANY AND ALL ESTABLISHED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, PUBLISHED AND NON‐PUBLISHED. ANY  EXHIBITOR WITH A FALSIFIED OR INCOMPLETE FORM WILL BE DROPPED FROM THE NAJLA FILES AT THE FAIR.  

WEIGH‐IN REQUIREMENTS: In accordance with Arizona State law (ARS § 3‐1346, R3‐2‐703) all exhibitors exhibiting steers, lamb, goats, and swine must present at the time of weigh-in an Arizona Department of Agriculture Seasonal Pass in order to show.  Each Pass/Certificate must have the specific exhibitors names listed on the Pass for the animal they intend to show.
