With up to 140 students at one time, we understand each student is at a different place in their life and we do our best to accommodate everyone.  Each lesson is prepared in advance by theirinstructor, and every reservation is a commitment by a student to their education.

For training to be productive, it is advantageous for as student to train with the same instructor for each flight lesson.  It is the instructor’s judgement call to endorse the student to solo a plane and take their checkride.  An instructor will not endorse a student whom they have not spent enough time flying with. We offer multiple types of scheduling to accommodate the students that are enrolled at VFA:

Students share their desired days per week for training and availability, and our Scheduling Management team takes care of the rest.  VFA publishes the schedule every Friday, two weeks in advance. Priority Scheduling Requirements – 2-week notice required for any scheduling changes via Flight Availability Form. 

Students can submit a Single Flight Request when the student, instructor and aircraft are all available.  This is a slower path to completing a license or rating, but an extremely flexible option. These students complete Single Flight Requests.
