Founded in 2008, The Grover & Sara McKenzie Family Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization established for charitable giving and educational support. Our mission is to provide educational assistance, provide education opportunities, and support and promote positive community involvement. These include scholarships, educational assistance, and partnerships with other agencies to magnify community impact.
Objective: To provide financial assistance to high school seniors in pursuit of furthering their education in a college, university, or technical/trade school in the Fall 2023 semester as a full or part-time student.
Qualifications: Candidates must meet the following criteria to qualify for this award: - A high school senior who is graduating from Calhoun County High School in St. Matthews, SC or Chester High School in Chester, PA. Recipients will be evaluated based on in-school and out-of-school activities, a written essay and academic improvement.
Award: Each of the two students selected per school will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship and a $250 book award.
