Master Classes at the Stulberg International String Competition are free and open to the public. Master Classes provide an opportunity for ALL area students, musicians and audiences to observe and learn from world-class artists. Please join us for the Friday, May 19, 2023 Master Classes, as well as for the Friday, May 19 Bach Prize Award Night and the Saturday, May 20 Competition Semifinals (free and open to the public) and Finals (ticketed admission).
Master Classes will be held at Dalton Center on Western Michigan University’s campus in Kalamazoo, MI.
Master Class applicants must perform auditions with piano accompaniment. We encourage those at Suzuki Book 4 (or comparable) and above to apply. Those selected to perform in the Master Classes must perform the same work as performed in the audition. Violin, viola, and cello soloists under the age of 20 (as of 01/01/2023) are eligible to apply (2023 Competition semifinalists are not eligible).
Application Deadline: March 31, 2023. Master Class application fee ($30) will be paid when online application video is submitted.
