Equipment Policy
All of the equipment we issue to players has been approved and is either re-certified or replaced on a yearly basis. Tackle players are provided with a helmet and shoulder pads on a loan-only-basis. They are also given two jerseys (one game/one practice) to keep. Players need to provide their own practice and game pants (please check with head coach before purchasing), cleats with molded rubber soles, socks, athletic cup, and mouth guard. Flag players are provided with a jersey to keep. They must provide their own cleats with molded rubber soles, socks, athletic cup, and mouth guard. Certain auxiliary equipment is allowed; please check with your head coach before purchasing. Only equipment approved by the OEC can be worn. The Cheerleading uniform consists of a skirt, kick pants, shirt or vest and pom-poms. This uniform is purchased by the cheerleader, and is her personal property. PLEASE NOTE: Parents and/or guardians can be held financially responsible for the loss of or malicious damage to any of the association's equipment issued to their child, at a cost of up to $125 for helmets and $75 for shoulder pads. Your child will not be allowed to register for subsequent seasons with outstanding equipment or fees. You are responsible for the equipment while it is on loan to you.

Volunteer Policy
Football is a community sport. We need all of our Triton families to play a role in making the league run smoothly. In addition to positions that require season-long commitments (Coaches, Players Agent,Equipment Manager,Team Parent, Videographer), there are spots that need to be filled at every game (Chain Gang, Spotter, Snack Parent). You will be assigned to help in some capacity at a minimum of two games during the season. I agree to the policies and procedures as set forth by South Coast Youth Football & Cheer.

Player Ejection of Misbehavior Fines
If at any time during the season a player, cheerleader or parent is ejected from a game or future games or is fined for inappropriate behavior, the parents or guardians will be responsible for paying the fine to the Orange Empire Conference for the ejection. The fines can be costly (usually between $100-$250 per incident) and SCYF encourages good sportsmanship at all times to avoid these fines. By initialing this box, you acknowledge that you are aware it is your responsibility to pay any fines that result from player ejection or misbehavior. I agree to the policies and procedures as set forth by South Coast Youth Football & Cheer and the Orange Empire Conference.

Refund Policy
REQUESTS FOR REFUNDS RECEIVED PRIOR TO JUNE 1ST WILL BE SUBJECT TO A $25 HANDLING FEE FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS. REQUESTS FOR REFUNDS RECEIVED BETWEEN JUNE 1ST AND JULY 31ST WILL BE SUBJECT TO A $100 FEE FOR TACKLE PLAYERS AND CHEER PARTICIPANTS. FLAG PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ASSESSED 50% OF THEIR REGISTRATION FEES. Any requests for refunds must be received in writing prior to AUGUST 1ST. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER AUGUST 1ST FOR ANY REASON!! SCYF is a non-profit organization with financial commitments. Equipment must be ordered by June of every year and these orders are directly related to the players signing up. Equipment is ordered based on age, weight, and size of each player. SCYF has financial obligations to the Orange Empire Conference, of which we are a member. This organization assesses fees to each league based on the number of participants/registrations. These fees are due and payable upon receipt, which typically occurs prior to June 1st. SCYF must secure fields throughout the South Orange County area. The number of fields and the number of days we use these fields is directly related to the number of players participating in the program. These financial obligations are paid primarily from registration fees. All refunds are subject to the approval of the SCYF Board of Directors. No refunds are automatic or compulsory. All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the SCYF Board of Directors. I agree to the policies and procedures as set forth by South Coast Youth Football & Cheer.
