Call for Entries Art Works

This exhibit is a focal point of all Art Works’ openings. It is a juried show with cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The show is open to all artists and all mediums. There is no theme this month. Call for entries is March 1st - April 17th, 2023 (at noon). Submit your entries through our online form.

The exhibit will be in the Skylight Gallery.

There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

About the exhibit:

You may submit up to 3 entries. Please see the deadline for submissions below. Since we are on a tight schedule to review the submissions and notify everyone, we are unable to accept entries after the deadline. We cannot accept artwork dropped off at the gallery for review.

Entry fees are $10 per entry. (Gallery Members and Art Works Studio Artists are $7 per entry. Click here to see if you are a gallery member.)

By submitting this form, you agree to allow Art Works to display, on our website, the artwork that you submit. And you agree to allow us to use your artwork for promotional purposes for the exhibit, on social media, and other platforms as needed.

Important Dates:

Call for Entries 3/1/2023 - 4/17/2023
Deadline for submissions in 4/17/2023 at noon.
Drop off artwork at gallery - 4/21, 4/22 and 4/23
Exhibit Opens - 4/28/2023 6 pm - 8 pm
Exhibit Ends - 5/20/2023
If you are unable to drop off your artwork on the prescribed dates, we cannot accept the work earlier or later. If you live out of town, artwork shipped will not reach us in time. We will display accepted out-of-town work on the website only.

Special Notes:

What you type is what we use! Be careful when entering data, (your name, titles, prices, medium and sizes). We use what you type to produce the catalog sheets, labels and the website. We will not change the prices or other information once you have submitted the form. Please don't use all lowercase or all capitals. Thank you for your kind attention to these few rules.

Using a MAC? Sometimes JotForm and MACs don't work well together. Give us a call and we can try to create a work around to get your artwork submitted. If you visit the art center we can assist you on one of our computers if you are having problems.

Type your name as you want it to appear on the label and catalog. Please no ALL CAPS and no or all lowercase. If the artwork is a collaboration then list the names of the artists. Remember what you type is what we use. So don't make errors.

About Uploading Files.

Upload an image of the artwork showing the frame AND a second quality image of just the artwork. We will use the quality image on our website if it is accepted.

Artwork needs to be framed. Exceptions:

For work on canvas, a frame is not required if the canvas is wrapped and finished (no staples showing).
Artwork that is printed on metal or other material that is not simply paper. However there needs to be a hook on the back to hang the work that will support the weight.

If your work is "untitled" this is fine. However, if you are submitting more than one "untitled" piece, please use some type of description to differentiate the artwork for the juror.

Height by Width. Example 16x20. No need to included the word inches. We assume inches. We want the frame size, please.

Entry 1 Price:*

Artwork must be for sale. This is U.S. dollars. Please use whole dollars , no cents. (Example $200 not $199.99 ).
