By entering this competition, I give the Ontario Standardbred Horse Show Series the authorization to use photos of myself, my horse and/or my child for the purposes of advertising and promotion of the Ontario Standardbred Horse Show Series.

I also understand that the Judge’s decision is final.  

 

Youth is anyone that is 18 or younger by December 31, 2023. Under 8 must be on lead line. 

Lead line can be ridden in either discipline.

Youth may not cross enter in classes provided in both youth and open. Lead Line may not show in other classes.

Rules for Stall Rental:

 

All stalls must be completely mucked out at end of show.

You will be required to bring your own bedding.

You will required to bring your own mucking tools with you ie: Wheelbarrow, shovel, pitch fork and or shavings fork.  

* All entries must be preregistered and prepaid by e-transfer to showcasesecretary@gmail.com prior to Monday, July 22, 2024. After this date there will be refunds, but we will allow substitutions and class changes.

* Stall Rental Fee: $30 per day and/or $50.00 overnight, must be booked at time of entry submission. Stalls must be completely cleaned out prior to leaving the facility or an additional fee will be charged.

* Communication prior to the show date will be via email and Facebook posts. Loud speaker system will be used for announcements at the Horse Show.

* By entering this competition, I agree to abide by the RULES of the STANDARDBRED SHOWCASE and give STANDARDBRED SHOWCASE RIDING CLUB the authorization to use images of myself, my horse and/or my child for the purposes of advertising and promotion of Standardbred Showcase Riding Club and/or the Ontario Standardbred Show Series.

* Helmets must be worn at all times while mounted on a horse or a horse drawn vehicle while on the horse show property, except that adult participants may warm up for and participate in specific classes without wearing a helmet if they have signed the HELMET WAIVER form. Participants under the age of 18 must
always wear a helmet while mounted on a horse or a horse drawn vehicle.

THIS DOCUMENT WILL AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND LIABILITIES PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING - All persons mounted on a horse or driving or riding in a horse drawn vehicle on the horse show property must sign this waiver.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK AND RESPONSIBILITIES: I acknowledge that equestrian sports are highrisk and that I am participating at my own risk and in full knowledge of the hazards and potential hazards which are inherent in this sport. I further acknowledge the inherent risk in riding and working around horses, and
gathering at the same location with other people and animals, which risks include bodily injury, illness (including contraction of COVID-19) or death of horse and/or rider/participant.

I also acknowledge that I am required to and will wear proper attire for riding or being around horses, including, but not limited to closed toed boots with a heel and an ASTM/SEI approved helmet while mounted on a horse
or horse drawn vehicle.

RELEASE AND ACCEPTANCE OF RISK: In consideration of being allowed to participate in the horse show, I hereby assume all risk and I hereby release and absolve the Standardbred Showcase Riding Club, its officials and volunteers, as well as representatives and independent contractors from all responsibility, liability or claims of any nature and kind which I may have arising from my participation in this activity, including but not limited to bodily injury or death to myself or my horse(s) and damage to property arising from any cause whatever, including the negligence of one or more of the individuals and organizations referred to herein.

I confirm that I have read and fully understand this waiver and release of liability. I sign this waiver and release of liability voluntarily without any inducement, assurance, or warranty being made to me.

I understand that while participating in this high-risk sport, it is recommended that I wear an ASTM/SEI approved helmet with a fixed harness while mounted. By not wearing proper safety headgear, I fully accept all responsibilities for my actions, I hereby assume all risk and I hereby release and absolve the Standardbred
Showcase Riding Club, its officials and volunteers, as well as representatives and independent contractors from all responsibility, liability or claims of any nature and kind which I may have arising from my participation in this activity, including but not limited to bodily injury or death to myself or my horse(s) and damage to
property arising from any cause whatever, including the negligence of one or more of the individuals andorganizations referred to herein.
