    Ground Official Volunteering Form

For members to volunteer to assist with Park Duty on Match Days
  • In 2026 your Club will be asking all senior members (18 yrs +) to contribute to the week to week football operations of the Club by volunteering to cover a one-off 2 hr time slot as an assistant 'Ground Official' on any day and time of their choosing throughout the regular season.

With 90+ teams and competitions expanding to Monday nights for O30's womens, Friday nights for Over 35's teams, there are more days that require a Club presence other than Saturdays and Sundays.

In recent years, Committee members who co-ordinate and organise football operations have been stretched when required to maintain a presence on the weekend across all fields as ground officials and then back up for mid week matches when needed.

In order to meet the requirements for ground officials and to cover our 4 fields we have operating most days, we are looking to bolster Committee member presence with senior club men and women in support roles and as a second pair of eyes on match days.

    How can you Help?

    1. Identify a day and a time slot that you are available to help and use this form to opt in and make yourself available on the day. You can book weeks or months in advance (once full draws are released).

    2. Go to the link that will be sent with your confirmation and review the Ground Official Information to familiarise yourself with the role and expectations on the day.

    3. Mark the time in your diary and be prepared to turn up on time to relieve other volunteers who are on duty and also be prepared to be released or cancelled at short notice if games finish early, are washed out, moved or forfieted.

    4. Complete the Park Duty at your chosen time slot, have fun, be part of the Club and enjoy some time watching football and grab a complimentary sausage sandwich and drink when you're finished!

As this is a new initiative designed to help run the Club as best as possible, members volunteering and fulfilling a time slot this year will be noted and not called upon in 2027 until the majority of registered players have contributed to this initiative.
