RULES AND REGULATIONS
The Horse Show Management reserves the right to itself to interpret any and all questions and conditions in regard to or arising out of an incident to the show without claims for damages or recourse of any kind. Questions not covered in these Rules and Regulations shall be decided by the Horse Show Management, their decision to be final.
Horse Show Management reserves the right to limit entries, refuse, accept conditionally, or to cancel entries, disqualify any riders or exhibitors, prohibit exhibition of entries, and cancel cash prizes without claim for damages; to change any course, cancel or combine any classes, or to make changes management deems to be in the best interests of the show. Every horse entered for competition will be under the control of the Horse Show Management, but Management will, in no case, be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the show, its members, directors and employees, facility and Patterson Training LLC harmless for any loss or accident to horse, horses or equipment which may occur from sickness, injury, fire or otherwise.
At Judge’s discretion, any rider may be disqualified for horse abuse, unsportsmanlike conduct, lack of control or unsafe situations.
Classes as follows:
Leadline – (8 and under), Squirts (9 and Under), Junior (10-13), Senior (14-17), Adults (18+) Ages apply on day of Show. Classes may be combined when there are 3 or fewer entries
Attire:
English classes – riding boots, breeches, polo shirt and a helmet are required. Jacket, gloves, belts, crop/spurs are optional. Numbers should be worn on your back while showing. Forgetting your number will be a disqualification for that class.
Western Classes – riding boots, jeans, shirt, are required. Helmet requirement can be waived by signing waiver. Ties, hats, belts, crop/spurs are optional. Numbers should be worn on your back while showing. Forgetting your number will be a disqualification for that class.
Tack:
Proper tack is required – English tack for English classes, Western tack for Western classes. A neck strap is optional for jumping classes. Horses under 5 years old and under must be ridden in a snaffle and two handed. Western riders using a snaffle bit must ride two-handed, Western riders using a curb bit may ride one or two handed. Riders must ride the whole class either one or two handed, no switching back and forth. Martingales are prohibited in all under saddle classes. No Polo wraps and boots are allowed in flat classes. Red tail ribbons are required for horses likely to kick. Any questions concerning tack will be at the sole discretion of the judge and/or show management, their decision to be final.
Ribbons:
Ribbons will be given for 1st-6th place in each class. Grand Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons will be awarded each day for each age group. Working Equitation not included in Grand Champion/Reserve Champion results.
Returned Checks: Checks returned by the bank for any reason will be assessed a 10% penalty (minimum of $25).
