Thank you for considering volunteering at Camp Y.E.S.!

Every year we need a variety of volunteers, kitchen staff, workers, and counselors for the ministry of Camp Y.E.S. to succeed.

Would you be willing to make a difference in a young person’s life this summer?

If you have not done so yet, pray! Pray and ask the Lord if He would have you come and minister to young people this summer. Has the Lord placed a burden in your heart for the lives and souls of children and teens? The Lord could use you as a counselor! One week of your time can impact a young life forever! Maybe you feel that you are not prepared for that, or you are still too young. You can still be of a great help! Pray about helping as a worker: train to have a servant’s heart. You could work in serving tables and helping with the cleanup. We always need young people with a good attitude and a willing heart to help set up for games and do minor repairs around the property. Do you have cooking skills? You could be a kitchen worker and with a cheerful smile, you can minister to the camper’s physical as well as spiritual needs. We need: nurses, lifeguards, musicians, maintenance workers, and even supervising leaders for our work staff! There is a job for you! Will you pray? As soon as God gives you the green light, start preparing! If you have questions, talk to your Pastor or Youth Leader.

This application form is the start of the process. Once we receive your application, we will email you with an acknowledgement. Your name will be submitted to Pastor Doug McClain for review. Once your application has been approved by him, you will receive another email or phone call confirming your acceptance as a volunteer at camp this year.

Please be aware that just applying is not a confirmation of your working at camp.

The Camp Y.E.S. standards for dress and behaviour are clearly spelled out on the campyes.ca website. Every volunteer is required to be familiar with those standards.

I acknowledge that by signing this application I understand that I am expected to be aware of and to abide by those standards.

This application is to be completed by all persons volunteering for any position of service in the camping programs of Camp Y.E.S., a ministry of New Testament Baptist Church in Hamilton.

Camp Y.E.S. recognizes its moral and legal obligation to provide a safe and secure environment for all persons participating in its ministries. This application and its follow up are intended to assist in successfully carrying out these obligations.

All the information given herein is strictly confidential and only those persons with legitimate need will have access to it. This application will be followed by an interview with the Director of Camp Y.E.S. ministries.

All applicants must have the enthusiastic recommendation of the Pastor of the church where they are members and must submit a criminal background check if over the age of 18.

I further understand and agree that Camp Y.E.S. expects me to be in cooperation with the spirit and standards of behaviour at a Christian camp and should I fail to do so, I will be relieved of my responsibilities and asked to leave the camp.
