PRAISE TEAM AUDITION APPLICATION
THE VISION OF GREATER MT. ZION MUSIC MINISTRY

The Greater Mt. Zion Music Ministry exists to lead our church to worship Jesus as they live on mission, and to train worship leaders and singers who are humble, spiritually mature, biblically faithful, and musically excellent.

AUDITION/ INTERVIEW OUTLINE

If you are interested in auditioning for the Praise Team:
- Complete the Praise Team Application below
- Submit a 2-minute acapella video recording of a standard worship song of your choice to Dropbox. After you complete this application, you will be directed to Dropbox to upload your video.

We will connect with you to setup an in-person audition:
- Your interview/audition will last about an hour.
- We will discuss your responses to the Praise Team Application in the interview portion.
- For the audition portion, we want to hear you sing. We will have a musician to accompany you, and you will sing a song we choose for you.
This is a list of benchmarks describing a candidate for the praise team. Candidates do not have to meet every qualification we list perfectly, but should meet most of them.

VOCALS
- Consistently sing on pitch.
- Good stage presence.
- Contemporary vocal style.
- Can harmonize.
- Presentable: dress, grooming, appearance.
- Spiritual leadership.

APPLICATION
At Greater Mt. Zion, anyone on stage, a singer, or a band member, is a worship leader in some capacity. Consequently, we are interested in more than musical talent when adding someone to our team. When we assess someone to see if they are a good fit for our team, we have three values in mind:
- They must have good character and can minister with full integrity.
- They must be a church member or be willing to join our church and lives in community with us.
- They must be musically talented and meet the standards of competence we ask of our singers.
This application will help to evaluate the extent of your participation at this time. Please be completely honest. Your answers will be kept confidential.
