Belle Isle Art Fair Poster-

We issued our first poster in 2024 to celebrate the 10th year of the Belle Isle Art Fair.  Our theme at this show is "take home the peace of Belle Isle" and our posters should reflect that.  We're looking for soft and welcoming images.  This is a link to previous posters- www.belleisleartfair.com/poster Note- we did not issue a poster in 2026 as the submissions did not meet our criteria.

Palmer Park Art Fair Poster-

The Palmer Park Art Fair started in the 1970's, was dormant for 30 years and has been back since 2014.  Each year we produce a limited edition signed and numbered poster. We've worked with some of Detroit's most popular artists including Desiree Kelly, Hubert Massey, Shirley Woodson and others.  We've also included lesser known local artists.   Many of our posters show images from the park, while others have been abstract, shown artists, or otherwise have "felt right" for the project. You can see all of them here-  www.palmerparkartfair.com/poster  We are flexible on size and dimensions.  Many of our posters have been gicleés but we would strongly consider traditional print methods for a future poster.

Installations and Projects-

Each year we commission a few installations or projects at our shows.  We've purchased a flower sculpture for Palmer Park, commissioned puppets in Ferndale, paid to include the art dome and inflatables at Bell Isle.   If you have an idea, let us know.  While we don't have large budgets, we do believe in supporting the arts and artists.

COMPENSATION- Varies   DEADLINE- Ongoing.

FINE PRINT-  We may show your images online to crowdsource a winner.  Or our committee may decide.  The winner will be required to sign and number posters.  The original belongs to the artist, though we have the rights to use it in appropriate ways.  Full agreement text is available on request.  If no poster is selected by the committee we may review past applicants, commission a poster, or even skip it for the year.  

Poster submissions by deadline will be considered for 2027 and possibly future posters.  Designs submitted after that will be considered for future years.  We reserve the right to extend the deadline or to not select any of the submissions as we deem appropriate.  The image will be used as promotion for the art fair, on a limited edition poster, greeting cards, and on a tote bag.  Copyright will be shared,The original belongs to the artist.  The artist may sell the original as a unique art item, and use it as one image in a multi-image publication, or to document artists work. Neither the art fair nor the artist may use the image except as outlined above (without the other's permission).  The booth in the art fair is not transferable and subject to the same rules that juried artists must follow. 

We are open to new ideas.  Budgets vary depending on the show.  Some of the things we have done include:

Send us your basic idea to start a dialog.  If you excite us, we will try to work with you, find funding, and make it happen.  While we have no set budget for installations and projects, know that we have often provided space and materials, sometimes spent $1,000 or so; if inspired, we've raised a few thousand; and rarely spent more than $2500.
