     ***** Attention*****

At GB's we love all children but we are unable to take any children with any disabilities because our facility isn't equipped and is not licensed to serve those who need special attention.  We hope to be able to serve those angels as well one day but currently we can not. Thank you.

    Behavior Policy
At GB’s we expect everyone to be on their best behavior. That's our children, staff, parent’s, and myself.

We want everyone to be treated with love and respect, this will be displayed in front of each child daily.

No child will be allowed to treat their peers, or staff members disrespectfully.

Here at GB’s we emphasize a culture of collaboration, support, and mutual respect. Positive peer relationships and a cooperative learning environment for students and staff is important to us.

If your child doesn't follow rules and adhere to our behavior policy we will give a verbal warning to remind the child of the rules and expectations, next offense they will have to sit out for 5 to 10 mins we call this the think tank session. The second offense we will send a discipline referral to the parent and the final offense the parent/guardian will be contacted in order to pick up the child from the facility after this the child will be released from our program.  BEHAVIOR MATTERS!

  • Emergency Medical Care

In the event of an emergency with your child, parents will be called, and if necessary, the child will be transported by ambulance to the nearest hospital.

    Communicable Disease chart

The communicable disease chart of recommendations for exclusion of sick children from the home and their readmission will be followed. Any cases or suspected cases of notifiable communicable disease listed will be reported to the local health department if a child in care contracts a communicable disease, the parents of the enrolled child(ren) will be notified of the occurrence either by phone call, posted notice, or a written letter home. Ill children may return to care 24 hours AFTER symptoms of the illness end which means if the child is sent home with a fever, diarrhea, or vomiting they cannot return until they have been symptom free for 24 hours without the aid of medications. In some cases the child may need a Doctor’s note to return back to before and after school care.

    Emergency Plans

The following procedures will be followed in the circumstances listed below:

Fire: Get the children out of the building, meet at the designated safe place as far away from the building as possible, and conduct a head count to ensure all children are safely out. Call the fire department, call the parents, and all childcare services within 24 hours.

Severe Weather: Remain calm, move the children into a hallway or interior room away from windows. In case of a tornado, have the children place their head between their knees with their backs to the wall. Listen to the radio for weather updates.

  • Loss of water: Have bottled water available for drinking purposes. Call the parents if the water will be out for an extended period of time.

Loss of electrical power: Remain calm. Call the power company to report power loss. If in hot weather, open up the windows, if possible. In cooler weather put on warming clothing or get blankets for children. Call the parents if the power will be out for an extended period of time.

    Contract Ending

How to go about ending your contract: To end your current contract with GB’s you must inform the facility two weeks, verbally or a written statement informing us that your child will be leaving in the next two weeks. If you don’t notify us in advance (two weeks prior) of you ending your child’s contract you will still owe the next two weeks of payment. If your payment is not received there can be a judgment against you, we will meet in small claims court for your payment to be received.
