The Hub offers one-on-one and small group sessions with a tech coach. Participants can utilize our community recording studio for a variety of purposes (sound recording, podcasts, artistic experimentation) or work with our coach on a specific project. Funding for the Comox Valley Digital Creation Hub pilot program is provided by the BC Arts Council.

Who is Eligible to use the Digital Creation Hub? 

• Artists of all media at all levels. 
• Comox Valley Arts Members. 
• Artist collectives and collaboratives without a designated structure (fledgling organizations, community organizers) 
• Nonprofit Organizations who are mission and values aligned with Comox Valley Arts. 
• Select For-Profit small businesses that are mission and values aligned at the discretion of Comox Valley Arts staff.

About: The Comox Valley Digital Creation Hub is a program created to support local artists by eliminating the cost-barrier to digital tools for artmaking. The Hub is exploring how a community recording studio and access to in-house photo and in-house video equipment can provide a needed resource for people seeking to learn and grow artistically.

Ways to use the Comox Valley Digital Creation Hub 

• Community Sound Recording Studio: Bring your podcast ideas to life, record a demo for your song, record your audio book.  
• In-House Photography: Let us support you in photographing your artwork for your socials/website, take headshots for your portfolio, photograph your band etc.  
• In-House Videography: Allow us to support you in creating your own music video, comedy sketch video, coach you in filming your event, short product clips of your artwork or small-scale production.

Please select a date and time that works best for you. We will try to accommodate your schedule, but adjustments may be needed. If there’s a conflict with our technicians schedules, we’ll contact you via email to reschedule.

Payment

The Hub is booked in 1.5 hour "sessions" with a technician. The Digital Creation Hub services are $66/ session. If you have more than 3 people in your booking, please book 2 sessions to begin.
