Terms of Engagement
Security deposit: A non-refundable booking fee to reserve your date is required for all services. This deposit is credited toward your services. The security deposit must be received before the first draft of the ceremony will be provided.
The final payment shall be paid 7 days prior to the wedding date for custom ceremonies and microweddings and 1 day prior for elopements.
Ceremonies that start more than 30 minutes later than the scheduled event time will incur a $50 fee for each 30-minute period the ceremony is postponed.
The officiant will not officiate any ceremony in which the bride(s) or groom(s) are intoxicated or under the influence of substances. If a member of the wedding party is either intoxicated or under the influence of substances, they shall be removed from participating in the wedding party.
If we source items for your ceremony, the couple will reimburse us immediately following submission of a receipt.
Our officiant services include filing your executed license with the court following your service. Paperwork is typically mailed in less than a week from your wedding day. If you need expedited processing, please notify us prior to the ceremony so we can make arrangements to mail the paperwork immediately or go to the courthouse to personally hand deliver the paperwork on the next business day following your wedding. An additional fee of $25 may apply for filing at the courthouse.
It is the responsibility of the couple to obtain a marriage license prior to the wedding and bring the license with you to the wedding. If the couple does not have a valid wedding license at the wedding and requires a "re-do" after the original wedding date, a $75 fee will apply for a meeting to sign the wedding license.
Cancellation policy: If the ceremony is canceled less than 7 days from the date of the ceremony, the couple shall be responsible for the full fee. If the ceremony is canceled less than 30 days from the date of the ceremony, the couple shall be responsible for 50% of the fee.
All scripts are prepared for an individual event and are the literary work of Linden Grove Officiants. Scripts shall not be reproduced or otherwise used for another event without the express written consent of Rev. Tracy Siegman.
Holiday rates: Additional $50 fee per package for weddings scheduled for Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
Couples consent to Linden Grove Officiants using photos and videos taken during their ceremony to be used on our social media and website or in printed marketing materials. If the work of your photographer is used, we will get consent from and give credit to your vendor.
Should an emergency arise with your scheduled officiant, we will schedule a replacement and notify you as soon as possible. We always have an officiant available to cover your event in the case of an emergency.
