  • A Quick Note About 'Optional' Questions

    You will not be disqualified from participating in the pool should you choose not to answer optional questions. Responding to optional questions may qualify you for additional engagements, however you will also have future opportunities to provide additional information should you choose.

    The following question will ask you to clarify nationality, religion, race and Indigenous heritage. We acknowledge issues of race around inclusion, access, and proper representation.Your responses are confidential and are meant to ensure we maintain diverse representation of people in our pool.

The second column shows examples for each response category (ie - for East Asian it shows Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese descent).   The first row is Category Black with examples such as African, African Canadian, Afro-Caribbean descent.  The second row is Category East Asian with examples such as  Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese descent).  The third row is Category Indigenous (First Nations, Inuk/Inuit, Métis descent) with examples such as First Nations, Inuk/Inuit, Métis descent).  The fourth row is Category Latin American with examples such as Hispanic or Latin American descent.  The fifth row is Category Middle Eastern with examples such as Arab, Persian, West Asian descent (e.g. Afghan, Egyptian, Iranian, Kurdish, Lebanese, Turkish.  The sixth row is Category South Asian with examples such as South Asian descent (e.g. Bangladeshi, Indian, Indo-Caribbean, Pakistani, Sri Lankan).  The seventh row is Category Southeast Asian with examples such as Cambodian, Filipino, Indonesian, Thai,  Vietnamese, or other Southeast Asian descent).  The eighth row is Category White with examples such as European descent.
