Join Mark Miller Subaru and HawkWatch International on Earth Day for our trash cleanup and habitat restoration day at Redwood Nature Area. This open space is critical urban habitat for American Kestrels, in addition to other bird and wildlife species. The day includes picking up trash and pulling invasive weeds, followed by a free lunch and Earth Day craft activities. Bring yourself or the family for a fun day with fellow environmental stewards to help our Kestrel friends! A free event t-shirt will be provided, while supplies last. Please make sure to register and indicate your t-shirt size, and vegetarian lunch option.
Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Please bring your own water. A limited number of shoveles will be available, so if you have a shovel (large shovels, not hand held) for digging weeds, please bring it with you.
When: April 22, 2023 from 9am-1pm
Where: Redwood Nature Area
Hosts: Mark Miller Subaru, HawkWatch International, SLCO Parks & Recreation
Additional Info: Parking instructions and other details will be emailed before the event.
