  • 2024 Red Sash Scholarship Awards-Deadline: April 30, 2024

    The information provided on this form will be used by the Bachelor-Benedict Community Foundation's Scholarship Committee to select recipients for awards. It is important that you provide complete details concerning your current and college/career plans and activities. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Review the 'Scholarship Application Checklist' (below) to insure application completion.

    List and date all academic honors, offices held, awards, and extracurricular activities from the past 4 years. (CSF, GSE, National Honor Society, Sports, Girl/Boy Scouts, 4-H, Governor’s Scholar, etc.) You may enter up to 6.
  • SECTION IV: Work Experience

    List and date up to 6 paid work and volunteer experiences all after-school/summer jobs, volunteer positions and internships.
  • SECTION V: Community Service

    List at least 2 community service projects or programs you have participated in over the past 4 years.
  • SECTION VI: Colleges/Universities

    Names of Colleges/Universities to which you have been accepted.
  • Major(s) You Are Considering

    In order of preference, list the major(s) you are considering (Very important for scholarship eligibility).
  • SECTION VII: Letters of Recommendation

    Submit recommendation letters from at least one school-based educator or councellor and at least one community organization-based representative. Scan or photograph the letter of recommendation and upload using the button below or send via email attachment to bbcf@bachelor-benedict.org.
  • SECTION VIII: Essay

    Type or cut and paste text into 'STUDENT ESSAY' block below.
    • The essay file should be named "2024 BBCF Scholarship Application Essay"
    • Essay should be between no more than 250 to 300
    • words in length.
    • Font should be 12-point Times New Roman and Double-spaced with normal margins (1-inch top/bottom and left/right).
    • Do not write your name or any personal identifier within your essay documents.

    Written Essay Evaluation Criteria: Your written essay will be evaluated for clarity of expression, grammar and appropriateness.

    State how the higher education experience that you envision for yourself will address one of the following three topics:

    1) Justice and Social Equity;

    2) Relieving Poverty and/or Enhancing the Standard of Living; or,

    3) Paying the Benefits of Your Experience and Education Forward.
