A powerful, deeply human documentary that confronts the crisis of severe mental illness in the United States. Weaving personal experience with cultural critique, the film spotlights families navigating both personal and administrative challenges, the growing movement demanding reform, and the people too often ignored by a failing mental health system. Narrated by Bob Odenkirk with music by Jeff Tweedy, it's a gripping, timely, and emotionally resonant exploration of stigma, care, and hope.

Through in-depth interviews and archival materials, the Mitchell family unveils the Nazi Aktion T4 program, which targeted disabled people and helped pave the way for the Holocaust. This investigative documentary exposes how this history has been overlooked or erased from public memory, connecting the past to present-day questions about whose lives are valued, remembered, and protected.
