At minimum, eligible students must meet the below criteria:
1) Pursuing first bachelor's degree
2) Current undergraduate BA or BS degree-seeking student in the College of Arts & Sciences
3) At least 75 credits earned prior to the semester(s) in which scholarship awards would be applied.
4) Minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.75.
Preference may be given to students who have completed more than 90 credit hours or who have an expected graduation date of August 2025 or sooner. Additional factors that may be considered when reviewing applications include any of the following: demonstrated success in two or more full-time semesters at UNO; first generation status; parent of a minor child and/or children.
A strong case for financial awards can be supported with demonstrated financial need through a student's current FAFSA on file. Even so, students are not required to have a current FAFSA on file, and students ineligible for financial aid can still qualify for these scholarships.
Please note that all financial awards must be reviewed by the Office of Financial Support and Scholarships for compliance with federal regulations before an official award can be given. Despite meeting the above criteria, applications for students who are unable to accept additional funds as a result of this review process are unable to be considered.
