  • Read/Write & Math Summer Application

  • LIMITED SPACES REMAIN! SPACES ARE: July 21-25 (2 spaces), Aug 11-18 (1 space).

Thank you for your interest in Summer programs at Read/Write & Math Intervention. Please note, Read/Write & Math is the name of our organization. Programs are either literacy or numeracy unless the program is 3 hours per day where we will consider requests for both math and literacy. Our interventions are based on assessment and not request.

We require copies of your child's psychoeducational assessment (if you indicate a learning disability), most recent report card, and IPP in order to process your application. Applications are not considered without this information. A January report card works best. We will accept screenshots from powerschool if you only have those. If we have already received your January report card, you need not submit it again.

Our program has a no cancellation policy. We will not reschedule any lessons nor will we refund money for any missed lessons. We require a non refundable $100 deposit to secure your space in the program. Payment in full for the approved program is required ten business days BEFORE the start of your program.

For information on programs, please visit our website by clicking HERE. Please reach out to us at rwmintake@foothillsacademy.org with any questions you may have.

For summer we are offering Booster Weeks and Intensives (4 weeks) in either literacy or math. We do not offer weekly programs. We will also potentially offer a math small group program but we require a minimum of 2 students to proceed with the program so please indicate your additional choices.

You will have a parent hub in our Hubshare app. You can access it here: ca.hubshare.com Please bookmark this as all our communication including reports, welcome letters, and instructor contact information is located there.

  • LITERACY INTENSIVE PROGRAM OPTIONS

All literacy intensive programs run 5 days per week. Programs are either 2 or 3 hours per day, 5 days per week, for 4 weeks.

    What is included:

    1) Pre-assessment report - we conduct an in depth assessment to determine gaps in the student's knowledge and develop a plan for the intensive program. This is diagnostic for our programs only and does not diagnose a learning disability.

    2) Focused, direct instruction with the same instructor for the duration of the program. Your child works 1:1 with the instructor in a private office/classroom. Our staff are all highly trained in meeting the student where they are and incorporating movement, breaks, games, and some fun while they are working hard on their learning.

    3) Post-assessment report - we conduct an in depth assessment to measure progress and make recommendations for future learning.

The literacy intensive is a good choice for a student with significant gaps in their academic performance.

An intensive must be 4 consecutive weeks for maximum gains.
