Pageant Guidelines:
We are a scholarship pageant that promotes personal development, community service, and self-confidence. We are classified as a "natural to semi-glitz" pageant -- we encourage a youthful appearance, age-appropriate makeup and attire, and a polished look that makes the delegate feel confident. Prior pageant experience is not necessary to participate. Registrants who meet eligibility requirements at the local level become eligible for the state scholarship pageant. Age divisions are from six months to nineteen years of age. The female delegates must be single, never married. Practice for each event will be held the night before the pageant. All judge's decisions are FINAL. Each judge will be highly qualified and thoroughly trained on the expectations of our pageant system. Scholarships given at the state level will be paid to the institution of the winner's choice. All accredited colleges, universities, technical colleges, and professional schools are acceptable. Local pageant winners will receive monetary winnings in cash or US Savings Bonds (this is at the director's discretion). Supreme winners will receive headshots courtesy of the pageant system. ALL winners will have professional pictures made for websites and promotional materials that represent our pageant system. Jade Oneal Companies, LLC and Southern Sashes and Scholarships own the rights to the images taken at the events by our pageant photographers. We will have our winners featured in local magazines and newspapers as we develop our media relationships across Alabama communities and cities.
