• Are you ready to scale?

    Are you ready to scale?

Complete this self-assessment to understand how close your product is to being ready for the big time!
  • If you have Michael Keer's book - Agile Hardware Product Realization then you'll have learned about the multiple factors and activities that go into making a hardware product and how to get it into volume production. This assessment accompanies the book to allow you to make a determination on how ready you, your company and your product are to move from prototype to volume manufacturing at scale.

In this assessment you will answer questions related to these factors which influence product readiness . Please take this chance to be really honest with your answers to all of the questions below.

If you don't see an answer which represents all of what you think you have in place then you should try to pick the answer which describes most of what you think you have in place. Remember, this is assessing your current position not wishes for the future.

The assessment is divided into multiple sections each covering aspects of the whole product you are making. At the end of your inputs you will submit the answers to us and we will return an appraisal of your product readiness by email. “There are 6 sections, and it takes about 15 minutes to complete.”

The image below is from the final chapter of Michael's book and summarises the areas that this assessment will cover.

  • A note from us: This questionnaire can seem quite daunting and long but, believe us, it's worth taking the time to complete it to give you the best picture of your readiness to scale your hardware product.

  • The best way to get a full picture of where your product is at is to have several people from your company, across the different disciplines or departments, fill in this assessment. We will collate the data from all your submissions to give you the result.
