    Under Kansas law. there is no liability for an injury to or the death of a participant in domestic animal activities resulting from the inherent risks of domestic animal activities, pursuant to K.S.A. 60-4001 through 60-4004. You are assuming the risk of participating in this domestic animal activity. Inherent risks of domestic animal activities include, but shall not be limited to: The propensity of a domestic animal to behave in ways i.e., running, bucking. biting. kicking. shying. stumbling rearing. falling or stepping on, that may result in an injury, harm or death to persons on or around them: 2. The unpredictability of a domestic animal's reaction to such things as sounds, sudden movement and unfamiliar objects, persons or other animals; certain hazards such as surface and subsurface conditions collisions with other domestic animals or objects 3.The potential of a participant to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to injury to the participant or others, such as failing to maintain control over the domestic animal or not acting within such participant's ability.

  • I acknowledge that there is the possibility of injury or death when riding or working with horses. hereby release Compass Equestrian and its executives and all their heirs from any and all liability for any injuries may received while preparing to ride, mounting, riding, dismounting or general care for the horse. and any other activities not enumerated, but which may pertain to riding a horse and/or visiting Compass Equestrian. This releaseis total and without reservation on my part. 1 fully understand the danger of this activity and the potential harm that may be inflicted understand that by signing this document that am releasing my rights to seek recovery from Compass Equestrian, its owners, executives, employees, and their heirs. also acknowledge that this waver shall operate to prevent my spouse or heirs from pursuing any such action out of this activity.   • The undersigned declares that the undersigned is the parent or legal guardian of the minor named below. The undersigned has read the foregoing Release and Indemnity Agreement and in consideration of Compass Equestrian, Inc. allowing such minor entry onto its premises and/or allowing such minor to participate in equestrian activities, hereby agrees that all of the terms and conditions contained herein shall apply to such minor and shall be binding upon the undersigned and the minor. The undersigned declares under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Kansas, that the foregoing is true and correct.   • Compass Equestrian Rules/Requirements

    1. All riders must sign a release form before engaging in equine related activities. Friends/family may interact with horses if they have a release. 2. All riders are required to wear ASTM certified helmets while mounted 3. Proper riding attire is required for riding: a. Long pants (jeans, jodhpurs, breeches) and close toe shoes with a 1" heel (tall boots, cowboy boots) 4. No running or "horse play" in the barn 5. Do not pet, touch, or feed horses that do not belong to or represented by Compass Equestrian 6. No smoking, use of alcohol, or drugs are allowed on premises 7.Parents are required to view lessons from the lounge or in designated seating areas. Parents are not allowed to watch or coach inside the arena. 8. Riding Compass Equestrian horses or ponies outside of lessons, leases, or written permission is strictly prohibited. 9. All children must be supervised at all times 10. Horses are to be tacked in designated tacking areas only. Horses will not be tacked in aisle ways or tied in the arena 11. Tack and equipment must be properly cared for and put away after each ride
