All applications must be submitted to the Clerk of Synod by August 31.

Income from the Presbyterian Residence Memorial Fund may be used to support the following purposes. Please check off the purpose for which you are applying.

Grants toward the support of student ministries in the Synod of Saskatchewan, including but not limited to summer student ministries. Students participating in these ministries will normally be pre-theological or theological students of colleges of The Presbyterian Church in Canada, and will be currently certified by their presbytery.Grants toward the support of leadership training for adults and youth under the direction of the Synod of Saskatchewan. This may be carried out through conferences, events, or programs.Grants toward the support of leadership training under the direction of Camp Christopher. This may be carried out through staff training and/or the ongoing training and mentorship of cabin leaders throughout the summer at Camp.Grants for library books and library upkeep for Camp Christopher. Up to $400 may be granted each year.Grants to support the theological education of certified students from Saskatchewan who are attending a college of The Presbyterian Church in Canada. When Synod offers financial support for a theological student, it is normally for up to three years. The three bursary funds listed below will normally be used as the first source for grants for theological students.

The fund is administered by the Synod of Saskatchewan. Decisions for funding are made at the annual Synod meeting in October. Applications must be submitted by August 31 to be considered in any given year.

Support from Governing Body - Extract of Minute

All applications require the endorsement of a ministry's governing body; governing bodies provide oversight for ministries. Examples of governing bodies and ministries for which they provide oversight could include:
Presbytery - congregations, local missions, chaplains, etc.
Synod Executive - camp, etc.

The following example provides all the necessary elements of an extract of minute for a complete application; the example can be used to make a motion at a presbytery or synod meeting. If the application is endorsed, the Clerk of Presbytery/Synod will provide the applicant with a copy of the extract to upload to the application.
Example: On motion of J. Calvin/J. Knox, upon review it was agreed that the Presbytery of Caledonia endorse the application and supporting documents from St. Andrew's, O'Leary, PE to the Presbyterian Residence Memorial Fund in the amount of ___to support the [program name] in [year]. Submit the Extract of Minute with the application.
