Gallery Seven Visual Arts Scholarship - $1,000

The Gallery Seven Visual Arts Scholarship is offered to commemorate members of the Lockport Community, past and present, who have shared a passion for art.

The Gallery Seven Visual Arts Scholarship is a $1,000.00 nonrenewable scholarship that will be presented at the LTHS Awards Night held annually in May. Applications are available to LTHS students through SchooLinks.

 An applicant must complete the application form and submit the required documents as outlined below. Funds will be distributed via the Lockport Township High School District 205 Foundation to the recipient.

 

Scholarship Criteria:

A. Be a graduating LTHS senior

B. Must have been active in creating visual art for multiple years.

C. Major in Visual Arts or Arts Education

D. Submit an essay describing your involvement with visual art, what an impact it has had on your life and your future goals related to art. (250-500 words)

E. Submit a digital portfolio of your work.  Please share 8-10 pieces you created.  Paintings, drawings, sculptures, graphic designs, photography, etc.

 

Submit a resume with the following information:

●     Work experience (jobs with or without pay)

●     School experiences (athletics, clubs, etc.)

●     Out-of-school activities (church, scouts, etc.)

●     Awards you have received

●     Hobbies and special interests

One letter of recommendation from either an LTHS staff member or a community member (e.g., coach, club sponsor, employer, clergy member, scout leader, etc.)
