The Toowoomba Touch Association (TTA) is seeking to appoint an interim Juniors Twisters Coordinator. Our Twisters representative program is a key component of the TTA representative pathways. The Twisters Coordinator will be appointed to support and oversee the management of all the 2023 Twisters Teams entry into the lead in carnivals and QTF State Champs.
The Twisters Coordinator position is responsible for:
- Overseeing of the Twisters Team entrée into QLD State Champs and lead in Carnivals
- Communicating between all relevant stakeholders related to Twisters coaching support, and administration including liaising with the Twisters coaches via the Coaches Messenger group, liaising with the other affiliates re: Tournament entry and liaising with QTF for State Cup Entry
- Liaising with Coaches re uniform distribution
- Arranging Tournament support services
Responsible to:
- Directly – TTA Executive Committee
Knowledge and Skills Required
Ideally the Twisters Coordinator has a number of the following attributes:
- Leadership, time management and organisation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Ability to plan and coordinate coaching education sessions
- Ability to use MySideline
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
Specific Role Requirements:
- Attend TTA Executive meetings during the Juniors Twisters Rep Season
- Complete a Twisters Coaching Heath Check in consultation with TTA appointed personnel
- Provide a basic monthly report to the TTA Executive on Twisters
- Organise at least one professional development session per year for the coaches
- Organise Tournament support services for Twisters Events i.e. Tent Hire, First Aid Services, Cold Rooms, Food etc.
- Create a player and team database
- Create a referee database
Coaching Accreditation and Compliance
- In conjunction with the TTA Executive, ensure all coaches are qualified, registered and assigned to the correct team.
