Welcome to Maydale Reserve, Horsham Showgrounds. This area on the east side of the showgrounds is privately owned and managed by the Horsham Agricultural Society. In 2025, you will notice the Maydale Reserve has been fenced off from the Crown land. Upon check in, you will be given the access code for entry.
Camp sites are available on a first in best dressed system, therefore your site is not guaranteed. Unfortunately this booking system does not allow you to see what's available. If you wish to pitch a tent to secure your spot, you can do this at the normal site fee cost. If you wish to book and stay earlier in the week and stay on, you are welcome to do so.
As per the terms & conditions of the Horsham Fishing Competition, there is to be no camping within 20 metres of the edge of the Wimmera River.
If you are camping on the riverfront overlooking the Wimmera River bridge, cost to use our facilities is $5.50 per tent or caravan per night.
Camp fires must be contained in suitable fire drums - not supplied. Open campfires are not permissable as we have a variety of events and festivals on the grounds throughout the year.
It is advisable that you pack up your belongings and secure them each night to avoid the temptation of theft by others. Campers experienced this at the 2023 competition.
Unlawful behaviour with minors driving unlicensed or participating in a dangerous manner on the outside of vehicles, will be reported to police and banned from camping at the Maydale Reserve in the future. Safety first!
