  • Who We Are
The Community School of the Arts provides arts education and enrichment with excellence and fiscal responsibility. By making the arts available to all people, the Community School of the Arts is dedicated to serving the community through opportunities for creative expression.

    CSA Financial Scholarship Guidelines
Requests for tuition support far exceed the funds that CSA is able to allocate. With this in mind, it is the goal of the organization to try to reach out and serve the needs of as many students as possible. CSA is able to do this by granting a limited number of scholarships in various amounts. Awarded scholarship amounts are determined based on household income, number of individuals living in the household, and funds available. Annual household income may not exceed $75,000.00. A copy of the previous year's tax return(s) is required with application to verify income.  If you did not file taxes, please provide a W2 or two consecutive pay stubs.  Additionally, you must provide supporting documentation of unemployment benefits, social security compensation received, child support received, and any state subsidized funding.

Scholarship funds will be applied in equal monthly payments to your CSA account. Scholarships apply to tuition costs only. Class registration fees, private lessons, supplies, costumes, etc. are the sole responsibility of the student/family. Request for additional financial assistance may be considered.

CSA Financial Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis. There will be a waiting list for those not awarded funds at the start of the academic year. Financial assistnace will not be awarded to an applicant with an outstanding balance on their account.

    Required Documents
Students must submit one letter of request for scholarship funding stating needs, student’s desire to participate at CSA. All letters and financial support documents can be attached digitally below. If you are submitting physical letters/financial support documents, please deliver them to CSA before submitting your online application.

    Volunteer Commitment
A requirement of all CSA Financial Scholarships is to fulfill a volunteer commitment to CSA. This is the sole responsibility of the recipient/recipient’s family. Scholarship recipients and/or caregiver are required to usher at one CSA performance and participate in one CSA work day each year. You will receive information and communications via email for specific dates of events to meet this requirement. All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. All volunteer hours from previous years must be complete to be considered.

    Awarding of Scholarships
Applicants will be notified by email once scholarship awards have been determined prior to August 1st. All scholarship students and legal guardian will be required to sign a scholarship award contract before scholarship funds will be applied to accounts. Students must be enrolled and scholarship award contracts must be submitted by August 5th or funds may be reallocated.
