Special Meeting Form

The Special Meeting Form helps the WSO maintain records of all meetings using the S-Anon name and to facilitate receipt of updates from the WSO to the meeting. Special Meetings are defined as meetings that limit the attendance of S-Anon members (ex. Men or Women only) or whose meetings focus on a specific recovery topic or audience yet adhere to Tradition Three by welcoming all S-Anon members (ex. Men’s Focused or Legal Consequences). New meetings will be assigned an ID after registration.
Type of Special Meeting
Types of Special Meetings may include Women, Men, Legal Consequences, Parents of Sex Addicts, Adult Children of Sexaholics, Sexual Avoidance, LGBTQIA+, or Single in Recovery. Additional topics/audience may requite approval by the S-Anon Board of Trustees.
Meeting Name*
When selecting a name for the meeting, experience has shown it best to maintain the S-Anon point of view and not use the name of a building, business, or organization where the group meets, as this can cause confusion by implying that the group may have outside affiliation.

In June 2024, the S-Anon Board of Trustees adopted a policy requiring all groups & meetings publish a generic/anonymous email address to help inquiries, newcomers, or members can make direct contact. The WSO will publish any email address that aligns with the S-Anon point of view. For example, the email address may reference S-Anon, the meeting's city, meeting's name, or other recovery-related topics, while avoiding the use of member or meeting facility names.
