These Terms and Conditions are an agreement between 3 dog night – Koirahotelli, day care and boarding services (the company and its staff) and the service customer (the dog’s rightful owner or party acting on behalf and with the knowledge and agreement of the dog’s rightful owner) referred to here as ‘’the client’’. By signing this contract, the client accepts 3 dog night’s following Terms and Conditions and Code of Practice.
3 dog night will send a confirmation email to the client confirming the booking. Bookings should only be considered confirmed upon receipt of that email.
1. If an invoice for a deposit is sent, it must be paid within 3 days of receipt.
2. Unless specifically stated otherwise, the full amount of the service needs to be paid before the official start of the stay. In cases where the client chooses to pay in person on the first day, the official start of the stay begins after reception of the payment.
- Pre-boarding requirements
1. All dogs booked for any of our services must have up-to-date vaccinations for Parvo-Distemper-Hepatitis, and in addition, for dogs imported from a country outside of EU/Schengen, Rabies. Flea and Tick and deworming treatments must also be up to date. By accepting these Terms and Conditions, the client is liable for any cleaning, equipment, and veterinary costs incurred to 3 dog night’s own dogs and other client’s dogs, resulting from a failure to comply with the vaccination and treatment requirements (i.e., in case of avoidable contamination caused by the dog).
2. By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, the client also states that they are the dog’s rightful owner or acting on behalf and with the knowledge and agreement of the dog’s rightful owner. 3 dog night declines any responsibility in cases of dispute of ownership between the client and a third party during the period of boarding.
-
Boarding form
The client states that the information provided in the boarding form received by email is truthful and complete, particularly the dog medical history and current health status, the behavior notes, and the emergency contact number.
-
Pick-up and Drop-off
The client is responsible for agreeing to a pick-up and drop-off time with 3 dog night within the hours of operations (9am – 9pm) and is required to plan accordingly to allow for extra time in case of onward travel or other client obligations. This refers to both 3 dog night’s pick-up and drop-off services, and pick-up and drop-off by the client themself.
In the event that 3 dog night experiences delay caused by unforeseen circumstances (such as heavy traffic or adverse weather conditions), 3 dog night is under no obligation to provide any financial compensation in case of delay incurring additional travel expenses to the client.
Pick-up and drop-off time outside of the hours of operation can be negotiated but must be agreed upon before the start of the boarding period.
In case of delay on the client’s part, resulting in pick-up and drop-off time outside of the hours of operation and not previously agreed upon, i.e., 9pm–12am (midnight), the resulting overtime will be charged on a case-by-case basis, up to a maximum amount of 40 euros per dog.

Veterinary costs and emergencies
1. 3 dog night has measures in place to avoid injuries and illnesses sustained during boarding. The certified handlers are trained in first emergency care and the facilities are maintained to meet the Finnish Animal Welfare Act standards. The dogs are supervised and monitored in person or via video-surveillance and weekly health checks are performed. The client accepts that despite these reasonable measures and precautions, injuries, illnesses, and accidents can potentially happen, and any resulting veterinary costs (consultation, treatment, follow-up medication/therapy/vet visits) are the sole responsibility of the client, to be paid in full no later than 3 days after the end of the boarding period, unless they occurred due to circumstances outlined under section 2 below. It is the responsibility of the client to contract a relevant insurance before boarding if they wish to do so, and to inform 3 dog night of the existence and conditions of the insurance.
2. If any injury or illness is the result of a failure from 3 dog night to follow the reasonable preventative measures outlined above in section 1, 3 dog night will participate in any resulting veterinary costs/loss compensation, up to 2000 euros.
3. In case of veterinary emergency, 3 dog night will bring the dog to the closest open veterinary practice. For the period of boarding, the client cedes to 3 dog night the right to determine what constitutes a veterinary emergency in the physical absence of the client.
4. When an emergency arises, if the situation allows, the client will be contacted first, and 3 dog night will require the client to remain available during the veterinary visit to make the pertinent decisions themselves with the veterinarian regarding treatment.
5. If the level of emergency is too great and puts the dog’s life at risk or if 3 dog night attempts to reach the client on the emergency contact number and is unsuccessful, 3 dog night will make the medical decisions immediately necessary in the client’s name, based on the veterinarian recommendations. 3 dog night will contact the client at the earliest opportunity.
6. In the very distressing situation where a dog dies whilst in 3 dog night’s care, e.g., old age, stroke, etc. 3 dog night will contact the client immediately via the emergency contact provided by the client. 3 dog night can organise a cremation, a storing, or a disposal of the remains with the client’s own vet or the company of their choice, if the client is unable to do it themself, at the client’s cost.

Boarding
Damages & boarding interruption
1. Any interaction between clients’ dogs is governed by strict internal guidelines, constant supervision, and the presence of a minimum of two certified and experienced handlers, to reduce the risk of damages and dog fights occurring. The client accepts that despite these reasonable measures and precautions, dog fights and damages can potentially happen, and the resulting veterinary costs to their own dog are the responsibility of the client, unless falling under section 2 of the ‘’Veterinary costs and emergencies’’ category above.
2. In case of damages caused by the client’s dog to 3 dog night property, own dogs or staff, the resulting costs are the sole responsibility of the client, unless falling under section 3 of the ‘’Damages & boarding interruption’’ category below. 3 dog night strongly advises the client to contract a pet insurance or a home insurance extension to their dog before boarding.
3. If any damage is the result of a failure from 3 dog night to follow reasonable preventative measures of handling and surveillance mentioned in our Code of practice below, the client’s financial responsibility for the damages is waived.
4. 3 dog night reserves the right to refuse or interrupt boarding of the dog at any point, if the dog exhibits a behaviour or health status that is deemed unsafe by 3 dog night, if the client fails to notify 3 dog night of obvious problematic behaviours or health issues in the boarding form, or if the required vaccines and treatments are not complied with. In these situations, if the client is unable to take back possession of the dog immediately, alternative arrangements for boarding must be organised by the client at their own costs within 3 days of the client’s notification of the boarding interruption by 3 dog night. If the client fails to comply with finding alternative arrangements, the dog will be surrendered to the relevant authorities, with any additional cost incurred to 3 dog night, such as overtime and fuel, falling under the financial responsibility of the client.
Escape
1. It is agreed that 3 dog night has measures in place to avoid any escape of the dog, by keeping the dog either in a fenced area or tethered, by checking and maintaining the infrastructures regularly, by supervising the dog at all time either in person or with surveillances devices, and by using a GPS tracker when deemed necessary (a tracking device is always used if the client requests it during booking). However, in the unfortunate instance of a dog escaping despite these measures, 3 dog night follows an escape protocol and alerts the relevant authorities and the client within the first two hours if the initial search proves unsuccessful.
2. If the escape is the result of an unreasonable avoidable failure on 3 dog night’s part, i.e., a failure to respect the measures in place, 3 dog night will participate to any veterinary costs/loss compensation resulting from the escape, up to 2000 euros.
3. If the escape occurs despite the measures in place and through no fault of 3 dog night (e.g., faulty collar or harness provided by the client, escape behaviour), the resulting costs (e.g., overtime, fuel) are the responsibility of the client, to be reimbursed to 3 dog night in full no later than 3 days after the end of the boarding period.
Overstay and abandonment
1. If the client, for any reason, is unable to take back possession of the dog at the end of the agreed boarding period and fails to notify 3 dog night within one week prior to the planned end of the agreed boarding period, a penalty will be imposed at double the normal price of boarding for each day of overstay, to be paid in full no later than 3 days after the end of the extended boarding period. In case of failure to comply with the penalty, 3 dog night reserves the right to take legal action against the defaulting client to reclaim unpaid costs.
2. In case of the death of the client during the dog’s stay at the hotel, 3 dog night will contact the second emergency contact listed on the boarding form and come to an agreement with them, on a case by case basis.
3. In case the client abandons the dog during boarding without notice and ceases communication, and the second emergency contact listed on the boarding form fails to answer within 3 days of the end of the agreed boarding period, 3 dog night will surrender the dog to the relevant authorities as an abandoned pet and reserves the right to take legal action against the client.
