1. My Commitment as the New Owner:
I acknowledge that adopting a pet is a serious, long-term commitment. I promise to provide for all of my new pet's needs, including: a lifetime of love and companionship, daily exercise, a healthy diet, consistent fresh food and water, regular veterinary care, a safe and secure home, and the patience to work through any behavioural challenges.
2. Adoption Fee:
I acknowledge the adoption fee that has been communicated to me by Little Doggy Rescue. I understand that this fee is non-refundable and directly supports the organization's rescue work, covering essential costs and enabling them to save more dogs in need. I agree to pay this fee in full before I take my new pet home.
3. Our Ongoing Commitment & Rehoming Promise:
Our commitment to each dog's well-being doesn't end on adoption day. To ensure the dog you are adopting today is always safe and cared for, we enter into the following agreement together.
I agree that if my circumstances change and I can no longer care for my pet, I will contact Little Doggy Rescue as my first step, before making any other arrangements. This provides a crucial safety net and prevents the dog from being sold, given away, or surrendered to a shelter.
We, in turn, promise to provide our full support and expertise to find another wonderful, pre-screened home.
4. Commitment to the Previous Owner's Peace of Mind:
I understand that the decision to rehome a beloved pet is an incredibly difficult and emotional one for the previous owner. To protect their peace of mind and allow them to heal, I solemnly agree to NOT contact the previous owner directly for any reason after the adoption is complete.
All future communication, especially in the event that the adoption does not work out, must be directed exclusively to Little Doggy Rescue. We will handle the situation with compassion and discretion, and we will inform the previous owner if and when it is appropriate to do so. This policy is mandatory to ensure a respectful and emotionally safe process for everyone involved.
5. Final Terms & Conditions:
- Cancellation: I understand that if I cancel the adoption process after my application is approved but before I meet the dog(s), a 20% cancellation fee will apply to help cover administrative costs.

The Meet & Greet: Upon meeting the dog(s) with their current owner, if I feel it is not the right match, I can decline the adoption. In this case, the dog(s) will remain with the owner and my adoption fee will be fully refunded.

Change of Ownership: Once I collect the dog(s), I become the new legal owner and am fully responsible for their care. As per our Rehoming Promise, if I ever need to rehome the dog(s), I must contact Little Doggy Rescue directly for assistance.

Health & Behaviour Disclosure: Little Doggy Rescue is committed to full transparency. We will disclose all known health and behaviour information to you as it was provided by the original owner. Please understand that as this is a home-to-home adoption, we cannot offer a health guarantee and cannot be held liable for any inaccuracies in the information provided.
