A Note on Submissions

Our web stories are shorter reads, ideally 500 to 800 words in length. We like pithy, non-fiction, aspirational adventure stories, and humor is appreciated. Print articles are longer reads and should be around 1700 words. We specify these lengths for a reason; please adhere to the word count if you'd like your story to be considered. We're not looking for how-to articles or tales about how your hunting dog was the best there ever was. Give us your story told in the same voice you'd use with your buddies around a campfire after a few beers. Please submit your stories in Word Doc format and include a title and your name at the top of the document itself. If you have photos to accompany your story, upload a couple of them with your submission and let us know in the "brief message" section if you have more.
