BFI Equality Monitoring Report - Film Audience Network (FAN)
  • BFI FAN Equality Monitoring Report

This BFI Film Audience Network Equality Monitoring Report is for Lottery funded activity being delivered by FAN members against the priorities of their Hub and BFI Screen Culture 2033. It is intended to help us track the impact and reach of our FAN funding.

The data captured in this form will go straight to the BFI to be collated anonymously and will not form part of your project proposal or its assessment.

FAN and the British Film Institute are committed to empowering everyone to develop a meaningful relationship with screen culture, regardless of their background or circumstance. The BFI National Lottery strategic framework includes equity, diversity and inclusion and public benefit as cross-cutting principles which run through all Lottery funded activity.

So we can get the fullest picture of who Lottery funding is reaching, please report on the diversity of your organisation as a whole and not just of individuals or project teams. The form should be completed BEFORE you submit your activity proposal to your Hub.  For projects with a duration longer than 18 months, you will need complete this form annually so we can track any change. Thank you for your time in completing this form.

    PLEASE NOTE:
We encourage you to complete this form to the best of your ability but recognise that organisations collect data in different ways. Although we have endeavoured to streamline our data capture so it is comparable with other organisations, we have balanced this with benchmark external data (such as census categories) and our consultations with communities that are represented in these categories to ensure our data is inclusive. We encourage you to capture data on a regular basis within your staff cohort but any unknown data should be left blank or the “unknown” box used where suitable.

It is a requirement of your FAN funding submission that you complete this form with the data you have available, but it will not affect the outcome of your proposal if you do not hold or are not able to report some data.
