SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Broadview Baptist Church Scholarship Applicant
Dear Applicant,
Broadview Baptist Church strives to promote and encourage high scholastic achievement through the efforts of the Scholarship Committee, whose motto is “STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE”.
Consistent with this purpose, students can select from two types of monetary awards. One award is Need Based, and the other award given is Encouragement. The church has established these awards to assist with the financial needs of the students pursuing an undergraduate degree.
STATEMENT OF GUIDELINES
ALL APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
- All applicants must be members in “good standing” of the Broadview Missionary Baptist Church. Students must also be active in one or more church auxiliaries (e.g., Christian Education classes, Usher Board, Orchestra, Youth department activities, etc.). The auxiliary head must verify attendance records, and verification of baptism and members of good standing must be verified through the church office. All applicants must live in the Chicagoland area of Illinois. This information will be of major importance in awarding the scholarships.
-
According to the school's credit hours, you must be a full-time undergraduate student. This full-time status must be maintained for the entire year at the same college or university you attended when applying for this Scholarship. Certified documentation from the college or university must be submitted to confirm the applicant's status.

-
All first-time applicants or transferring students must be accepted to an accredited college or university and submit an acceptance letter from the attending school.

All applicants are responsible for submitting all materials on time. Failure to meet deadlines and/or submit incomplete information will disqualify the application. Any problems should be referred to the Scholarship Committee members listed at the bottom of this application.
All funds awarded and not used for specified purposes must be returned to the church. Students are responsible for keeping the Scholarship Committee informed of any changes in status, address, etc.
ALL APPLICATIONS ARE DUE May 30, 2025. Please upload all required documents with this submission. Incomplete submissions or failure to meet deadlines will disqualify applicants.
