  • Regulations and Policies Governing the Campgrounds

    1.1 Campground Includes all numbered campsites, electrical and non-electrical, designated for camping with trailers or tents. Also includes the washroom and laundry facilities located nearby. 1.2A minimum of one electrical campsite must be kept for non-seasonal rental.

    2. Purpose Statement: Good Spirit Bible Camp (GSBC) campground exists to fulfill the overall purpose of Good Spirit Bible Camp within the unique setting of a family-oriented campground. We are committed to providing a safe environment for the summer camp program, campers & staff, and campground renters.

    3. Campground Rules and Policies 3.1

    Each family is asked to take the following considerations as a guideline for their behavior while camping: Please respect the natural environment and well as any structures belonging to Good Spirit Bible Camp. Vandalism is not tolerated. There is to be no alcohol or non-medicinal drugs brought on camp property or consumed while in residence. NO SMOKING on the premises is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED but if you must smoke, it can only be in your own trailer or by your fire pit.

    Quiet time is 11:00 pm each night.

    Remember that the overall camp experience of each participant in our main camp programs is of the utmost importance. Please attempt to limit your contact with these programs.

    Do not enter any of the main camp areas while programs are in session. Use of any of the main camp facilities or program equipment is prohibited (this includes the main playground area Use of the skills areas while camps are in progress requires permission by contacting the director or office administrator. Users must have parent or grandparent supervision. Use the main gate only for access to and from the campgrounds and the Provincial Park.

    Only one camping unit (tent trailer, camper, camper-truck/van, camping trailer, or motor home) is allowed per campsite. Only one tent or structure made of wood or steel per RV site may be allowed.

  • Grey water sewage must be contained and disposed of at disposal sites. Disposal of grey water/sewage on the ground is prohibited.

    Fires are allowed in the fire rings only and a grate is recommended. Ash must be disposed of at designated disposal site. Propane or other non-wood burning portable barbeques are acceptable.

    Power inverters are allowed provided the noise produced is at a minimal level. Acceptability will be determined by the camp director or campground board members. The camp may restrict hours of use as required.

    All pets must be kept leashed. We strongly recommend that when you are leaving the Good Spirit Bible Camp property that you take your pet with you or for short periods of time (example 2 hours) they can be kept inside your trailer. Pet owners must collect and dispose of their pets' feces.

    Only two vehicles are allowed per campsite if space permits. Visitors may use the camp parking lot. Also, be sensitive to other campers and the space of their campsites. Do not block any roads, park in front of the washroom facility, park in campsites other than your own.

    It is strongly recommended that all watercraft be stored in the boat parking

    Full time campers are allowed to make improvements to their campsites. The following are some guidelines with regards to improvements: Campers are not allowed to remove any living trees unless permission has been granted by the Camp Director or a campground board member. Only one building is allowed to be constructed on a campsite. The building can be no larger than 8' x 10' and no more than 8' high. The building must be constructed in such a way that it can be moved easily. The camper is responsible for the removal of the building.

    As stated in the mission statement, all families wishing to camp at GSBC Campgrounds must show some interest in the main camp's ministry. This can be shown by registered participation, volunteer labour, financial, or spiritual ways.

    All seasonal campground site applications will be administered by the GSBC campground committee.

    These are not public campgrounds. Because you are on private property, GSBC reserves the right to reject access to or remove any camper and their camping gear (tents and trailers included) from the campgrounds with cause.

  • A campsite rental agreement must be signed by each seasonal resident yearly and will be kept on file at the camp office. Campground residents/users are asked to inform all visitors/guests of our campground policies.

    All seasonal site fees must be paid in full by May 31st. If the seasonal site rental is not paid in full by May 31st, trailers may be asked to be removed.

    Daily and weekly campsite rental fees are due in full before you start camping.

    Campsite rental rates are subject to change yearly at the discretion of the GSBC board.

    4 Good Spirit Bible Camp Campground Committee Good Spirit Bible Camp campground committee will consist of at minimum, the camp director, 2 members of the GSBC Board and 1 member at large. This committee is responsible for setting policies of the campground, vetting seasonal campsite requests, and addressing campsite users concerns.
