Thanks for completing this application! At first glance, you might thing "sheesh, this is a little long - are all these questions really necessary?" I know, because I thought the same thing when we got our dogs! We hand-raise all of our puppies in our home with our dogs and love them, and we hope you love your puppy, too.

Every family is different, and there are no right or wrong answers. We know many families have two working adults and we don't expect anyone to be a superhero and quit a day job just to be able to take home a puppy. Every puppy family has different needs, and this application helps us identify who needs what information and what homes might make the best fit. If you're a veteran Great Dane owner, we don't want to waste your time regaling things you already know, although you could always learn somethig new; by the same token, if this is your first puppy or first Great Dane, we want to make sure you leave prepared for what life with a giant puppy may bring. - We understand this can be a very exciting time for our potential puppy buyers! Starting at 2 weeks of age we allow our approved buyers on our waiting list to make their picks in the order they were approved. Once you make your pick we require a $300 non-refundable but transferrable deposit to hold until go home dates post 8 weeks. Deposit goes towards final purchase price of the puppy.
  
  We post weekly updates, at minimum, across all of our social media accounts of our puppies so you will get to see many photos and videos. We are also more than happy to send direct updates with your puppy following the selection process of the puppies until you are able to come meet them!
  
  If you prefer to wait to make your pick until you can meet the puppies we are more than happy to allow you to come pick in person after the puppies are 6 weeks of age. In most cases all of our puppies are placed prior to 6 weeks of age and we are unable to hold puppies without a deposit. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding this.

- Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a puppy from Sean & Amelia of Elja Danes, but it does not guarantee a puppy from this or any future litter. While it's unlikely, the breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time.
  
  If this application is approved, you'll be notified when the puppies are born and be required to send a $300 non-refundable but transferrable deposit within 7 days in order to hold the puppy of your choice. Please note our deposit policy: if you make a deposit, you are committing to take a puppy from the litter, regardless of whether your gender/color preference is available. Should you elect to not take a puppy from the litter, the deposit will be transferred to up to two future litters and will be forfeited if no selection has been made at that point. We do our best to match preferences but nothing is a guarantee. Deposits are non-refundable.
  
  From time to time we may decide to keep a puppy out of a litter. We reserve the right to hold puppies. This may mean that certain puppies may not be available for a couple weeks while we decide on if we may keep the said puppy or not.
  
  Puppies will go to their new homes after they turn 8 weeks. We cannot hold puppies for extended times; it is critical for their social development that the litter departs within a reasonable timeframe. Puppies must be picked up within 7 days unless other written arrangements are made.
  
  We have a contract and will not place a puppy without it being signed. We believe it's the professional thing to do to memorialize our obligations to each other on paper so there are no questions later, and for that reason it's a bit lengthy. If you have questions about specific terms, you need to contact us prior to picking up your puppy.
  
  If you purchase "Limited Registration" we require spay/neuter at or before 36 months. Proof of the procedure from your vet is required before we will release the said dog's registration papers.
