    A little about us:

    We are a local family-run Homecare Provider based in Pontllanfraith.

    Since 2003, we have been working in the Blackwood and surrounding areas to support local adults with their personal care needs.  This involves all elements of personal care in order to support these people to remain safely living in their own homes.  You would be joining an established, respected team of 40+ to provide this vital support to those who need it most.  

    We are looking for dedicated, caring people who enjoy helping others.

    We provide a comprehensive training program with a wealth of learning opportunities that will prepare you with the skills and confidence to represent the organisation to the highest standard.

    Duties include:

    Providing personal care (washing, dressing, toileting) & domestic support (cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation) to vulnerable people within their own homes in line with personal requirements.

    No previous experience required.

    o Weekend work (minimum every other weekend) is required

  • Through the exemptions of Order of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and by virtue of the nature of the post for which you are applying, you are obliged to share your Criminal Record with us.  Any information supplied by yourself will remain confidential and considered only in relation to the Job Application.  

    The total fee for an enhanced CRB check is £60.  This is to be met by you the employee; we can accept half (£30) prior to the new employee starting and the remaining half from the new employee's first pay (£30).

    Village Support Services will pay all future DBS checks on your behalf, should you wish to continue your employment with us after those first 3 years.

    We work on a two-weekly rota basis (you can request different shifts Week 1 vs Week 2 if you wish).  

    We ask everyone to work every-other weekend; to allow regular time off for all.
