Guide - someone who is walking with Christ, aware of their own struggles, and ready to disciple someone that is entering recovery.

A UGM Guide is a mentor that has completed the Unbound Grace Guide Training and has been matched with a Journeyer. The Guide/Journeyer discipleship relationship focuses on spiritual growth, recovery, and community.

The only requirement to be a Guide is that you must be a committed Christian who has a biblical foundation for life and a desire to live out the Gospel.

For the purpose of being a guide, you will never be matched with anyone of the opposite sex. We also take age, location, availability, and other information into account during the matching process.

At Unbound Grace Ministries (“UGM”) we know that you are providing sensitive personal information and we want to earn your trust. If you apply to be a Guide this is what we will, and won’t, do with your personal information:
- We will use your information to try to match you with a Journeyer.
- We will use security to protect against hacking to keep your information secure and confidential.
- We will try to match you with a Journeyer who shares similar and/or complementary life experiences.
If you think the above sounds like something you are OK with, then please read our Terms and Conditions of Service (“TC&S”). Our Terms and Conditions of Service contain more formal legal language, which we have summarized here:
1. I am at least 18 years of age.
2. I agree to comply with all the obligations contained in the TC&S.
3. I will only use UGM for my personal mentorship purposes and not for any illegal or unauthorized purpose as further stated in the TC&S.
4. I understand that the PATH program at UGM is not a licensed counseling or therapy service, nor are its mentors (Guides) licensed counselors. Given the sensitive nature of mentorship, I agree to release, hold harmless and indemnify UGM for any matter related to UGM and its mentors and I am not expecting any particular outcome, as further stated in the TC&S.
5. I understand that, while UGM will try to keep my information confidential (as authorized by my disclosure preferences), UGM may share my information under circumstances further described in the TC&S and does not want liability for accidental breaches or hacking.
6. I understand that my use of UGM may be suspended or terminated for violation of the TC&S, at UGM’s sole election and without notice.
7. While UGM will use its best efforts to prohibit improper conduct by the mentors and mentees, I understand that UGM is not responsible for all content and information posted to the site and there is the possibility that I will be exposed to concepts, content or material that is difficult or offensive. Given this possibility, I desire to participate with UGM and do so at my own risk.
8. By participating in UGM, I agree to whatever data rates and telecommunication charges may apply to any communications I have with UGM.
