By default, students will be placed in Math 100 or 110. Use this form to indicate your acceptance of this or to improve your math placement using the following means:

SAT math score of 530 or higher (or ACT math score of 21)

Transitional Math Course in high school: Transition to Quantitative Literacy/Statistics or Transition to STEM

PreCalculus (which includes trigonometry) or Calculus course in high school. (C grade or better)

College Transfer course (including dual credit)

ALEKS Placement Test

Before filling out this form:

If you are transferring a college course to WIU, you’ll need to know to which WIU course it will transfer as.

If you had a Transitional Math course in high school, you’ll need to know if it is Transition to Quantitative Literacy/Statistics or Transition to STEM or another.

If you are interested in improving your math placement by taking the ALEKS Placement Test (which is highly recommended), please review the ALEKS information and fill out and submit the request below.
